I bought an Edox Chronoffshore with 500m water resistance about 10 years ago and swam with dolphins probably to 3 meters depth, so pretty lightweight in comparison but glad I’m not alone.

Very good list Olivier, many thanks. In the last 5 months I have purchased 5 SMs (aprox rate of 1 x month) very happy. I would buy the new SN0144-GX but I have been waiting for the last thing missing from SM watches: Exhibition CaseBack. The excuse was it would make the watch thicker/taller (with Seiko movement) but with Miyota ? I believe it is a pity and a letdown that SM doesn't offer exhibition Case-Back options. Many watch enthusiasts want them. I am not buying more SM until they do. Thanks and Congratulations for your Channel (I am subscribed).

Thanks for the great list. I am also very intrigued by their upcoming SN0144. I think if they do some plain dials and price them closer to $300, it might be the watch that really helps them shed the image of being “just an AliExpress Brand.” Not that there is anything wrong with being that. 😅. Absolutely excellent session Mike. One point that struck me early on in the piece, to slightly paraphrase it, was the impact of technological advances and how a well established brand such as Tudor or Omega was making excellent watches 30 years ago. I have a 30 year old Breitling Colt automatic that has never been serviced and I have not worn it for 25 years. Yet when it is wound it starts immediately. So with that degree of excellence in the manufacturing of major brands where is innovation and technological investment likely to have the greatest impact?

Ali Express sounds like a great deal, until the address on your package is messed up, you never get your watch and Ali Express refuses to give you a refund. Then it begin to sound like a scam. $161 gone. I've bought several watches on Ali Express, but I'm done.

I've heard really bad news recently that Seagull is going to start only accepting a ten thousand minimum order on their mechanical movement that we all know and love so I would strongly recommend purchasing your favorite 1963 watches with that mechanical movement inside on sale or not ETA did something similar years back Anyways always appreciate and enjoy your content Big Daddy Be well and God Bless You and Yours my friend 👍
