Man, Sony or whosoever does a really bad job with not officially recording these pieces in high quality. I bet if there would ever be release a new album with volodos‘ new transcriptions and / or in general these wild pieces, this would be a landslide of buys. So many people are craving for this. I hope volodos wants the masses too, to get his music! We need it

Wow, just wow! Just as I am putting a score together for Horowitz' early version of carmen (1927-1949) you put this out! This version of the piece seems to be a very unique combination of Ossias from all versions of carmen, for the most part this seems to be based of his 1978 version, but the right hand in 0:29 comes from his 1927-1949 versions. 0:55 adds a note in the bass for the left hand. 2:42 he seems to remove some measures from horowitz original for some reason. Perhapse the most exciting part, 3:09 he blends the cadenzas from the 1957 version with the 1947 version. Oh yeah and the intro 0:00 with all the suspended notes comes from the manuscript version of Horowitz' carmen, a variation Horowitz never actually recorded. I feel like he is reviewing all the older variations that Horowitz discarded to find things that are salvageable. You can tell he is a big fan of Horowitz! May I ask where and when this was recorded?
