The playing is amazingly fresh. This was only about a year before the stroke which forced him to stop performing, but he plays like a young man who can't contain his excitement.

This was exactly the style of Godowsky. 11:21 Beethoven (Himseld !) indicates "Vivacissimamente" which means "play as fast as possible and even faster" It must be a run .......

Godowsky wrote insanely difficult piano music, but he could play as well. As I now know.

Not True! Come on! Dimitri Bashkirov her teacher Anastasia Virsaladze teach saying to Bashkirov the most important lesson is the love of beautiful colorful piano sound! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Godowsky=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Vladimir Ashkenazy Grigory Sokolov! More genius than Godowsky=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Stanislav Bunin Maria Grinberg Murray Perahia Alexei Lubimov Dinu Lipatti Stanislav Igolinsky! More powerful louder than Godowsky=Mikhail Pletnev! The Second Loudest ever was Lazar Berman! The 3rd Loudest was Erwin Nyiregyhazi! Horowitz his technique attack better than Godowsky's technique!
