First Asian bachelorette and they treat her like that. As an Asian female, I am disgusted about how they treated her. Meanwhile they gave charity a Greece vacation just cuz her fiance got sick at Greece? And gave Rachel Lindsey $200k for a house. She got nothing from them. Even her wardrobe and hair and production for her just seemed like low budget and like they didn’t care about her. I’m so used to seeing Asians just cast aside like they are nothing and rarely the main character of any movie in Hollywood. I was so excited to see some Asian representation finally on the bachelor and they literally fucked her over. She had no choice over the proposal airing. She even said she knew they were going to show it and it was no surprise. Why did the show make it seem like it was her choice when she literally had no choice?! I felt so bad for her and she’s so much better than all of them. It was a complete tragedy and I literally cried watching it. Felt so similar to the experiences I have been thru too as an Asian woman!

Yeah that was the worst finale I’ve ever seen. Even my husband, who never watches this, tuned in and was like “wow, this is horrible”. It was truly just sad and inhumane to watch Jenn sobbing on the couch forced to watch the proposal in front of that shell of a man. I mean not only is she emotional watching backstage, she has to explain to the live audience what happened, face him while in this emotionally heightened state (which always makes it hard to get your point across), then have him try to belittle her with zero grilling from Jesse to get answers out of him. It feels like the bachelor producers have too much influence on how the show is going and what stories were told. Love Island feels so real because we see very little producer influence, everyone gets a fairly mixed edit. The bachelor clearly needs their heroes and villains, they need their "I love you's" and they need an engagement. I wish the show took a step back and simply let the cast carry the narrative, instead of forcing their own formula onto these random people.

If/when you are able to get Devon on your show, I suspect there is a lot that went into him no longer being in love with her. He spared her by not going into it on live TV. Fact is, the relationship was a not a match and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was majorly turned off by seeing her (and hearing about her) with other guys. I don’t subscribe to the idea that he had a plan all along to do this. I think they fell for each other but he was the only smart one who saw the writing on the wall. Sad, but it happens. I think he is being unfairly villainized. If it comes out that he had a plan, OK, then he deserves the hate, but it’s probably just the fact that they are both young and weren’t right for each other (and he realized that first once the show was over)
