That intro sequence was peak. Funny Resi tribute text, perfect Resi door-opening loadscreen, BAM YOU'RE A CAT PERSON, and then immediately back to perfect Resi tank controls, perfect Resi third-person camera angles. They knew exactly what they were doing and I'm here for it. Also, random hospital wheelchair in the middle of the hall. I like the sense of humour. I also give them points for not confusing PS1 survival horror style with "too dark to see and covered in intrusive filters". This is better lighting/visibility than I've seen in a lot of games of this style. It _is_ all a bit beige, but strategic red and cyan effects break that up just barely enough.

Yet the atmosphere was 100% Silent Hill. Weird, out of place objects (a wheelchair, filthy mattresses and clothes), red lights, red mist surrounding the entity, the feeling of hopelessness and helplessness - "it's better to run than to fight" (well here you can't fight at all), the room behind the keypad looked "rusted" with blood which is totally the Otherworld, the entity can't follow you from one room to another and patrols the hallway - another SH classic.

LOL! College is totally different. No one hounds you for your work; it's either finished and submitted, or it's not and you get a zero. These days you don't need to go back to campus for the assignment you forgot since you'll be saving everything in the cloud. You'll be fine in terms of the anomaly chasing you in the dark department. The student loans are the horrific part. I recommend starting at your community college and getting all your gen ed done there, then transferring to a state college to wrap up your bachelor's and maybe going for your master's if you need one. This is advice I wish I got when I was off to college. I hope you enjoy school better than I did!

As cool as the camera angles look, the controls must be awful: you're tilting the analog stick up to walk forward, the camera over her shoulder, then suddenly your perspective shifts the opposite way, as if you're peering at the PC from the corner of a room.

I love how compared to a lot of retro horror games, this one felt so true to the ps1 and ps2 era (RE, especially Silent Hill) from asthetics, gameplay, design, and atmosphere. I can definitely see this becoming a larger game if they delve into it more
