The Presence by John Saul was set in Hawaii. Read it years ago, from what I remember it was pretty good. Fun haul, i loved the Pines!

I haven't read any Saul, mainly due to the intimidating size of his bibliography. I wouldn't even know where to start. The Pines looks so epic, I can't wait to read it!

@littlelibraryofhorrors I read a lot of his books when I was younger, he was hit or miss, mostly miss, but there's a couple I liked, the Presence being one. Black lightning was good too.

So jealous of the Richard Laymon, i have that book but not with that awesome cover though. I also have The Entity but I can’t read it because the text is so small. I’d go blind trying 😆

Absolutely adore that cover for Laymon. His covers and Ramsay Campbell, especially Jill Bauman's work, is exceptional. Sorry you can't read The Entity. It's an intense read.
