Mate, you're by far my favourite channel for horror games. This particular game really clicked something in me. I've been struggling in developing retro graphics games with modern cinematics and gameplay, and this along with other games I've discovered in your channel has really been a huge inspiration!

I’m glad it’s been helpful, and if you end up making anything you want me to look at feel free to let me know!

A Switch version would prompt an immediate purchase, this looks and sounds very enjoyable.

Just played it a week ago.... It's actually pretty great, for a free short experience. Can't say that the manequin jumpscares impacted me, they were higly predictable after the first one, and the ending was equally expected. But damn, a really great exprerience

I am so happy that you did a review on this game! I discovered it through a let's play a few months ago and even watching somebody else play it while narrating it as a story in a manner left me with this visceral pit in my stomach. Aside from the heavy atmosphere there was another element of the game that stuck with me on a very personal level that just left me thinking about it long after I was finished watching, and that was the interactions with The Witch: The way it lulls your character (particularly with the sweet "Little Lamb" pet name, which has a WHOLE other set of connotations) while manipulating, gaslighting ("You would leave me? I didn't think you capable of such pain") and controlling her, all forming a very effective trauma bond. For those here in the comments that have been falsely led to believe this term means bonding over trauma, it does not. It's almost like a form of Stockholm syndrome where you become addicted to or desperate for the times when your abuser or captor is kind or loving to you, so despite poor treatment, you stay and put forth whatever effort you can to "earn" those times back, even losing yourself in the process- sound a little familiar now? Now, as far as I know, this is not confirmed, but when you are able to recognize things like this from experience, it's all too obvious, and the elements of it being there, gives the game an even darker tone than it already had in the first place, and if it was put there purposely, I really appreciate that it was handled in such an accurate and gutwrenching manner. ANYWAY- I was over the moon to see this got 5/5 Harry Masons and I'm excited for tomorrows!

fun fact, I found your channel through the game security "The rains are cold, put on headphones, embrace the darkness and the game until everything else fades away. Then the atmosphere can ???." (then proceeds to do a shout out to the channel) "Here's my personal favorite, the hills are silent"

@@FlantisFroggu is that how it sounds in the game? I’ve not had time to play it yet.

@@HorrorReview something like that. I saw a playthrough so the voiceover made it hard to hear what you (or whoever) was saying. Sorry for the spoilers. Want to know where to find it?

@@FlantisFroggu nah it’s alright, I did record the voice lines myself so I know what I’m saying and the devs told me where to find it, I thought I was cut off in the recording, but I’ve heard it’s a bit hard to hear.

@@HorrorReview not too hard to hear, just old radio audio quality
