I've just been replaying this one too since I was never able to get past the first few levels when I was younger. It's so frustrating to play but the creature designs and atmosphere are so incredible.

Man there was something about this game that stuck with me from my childhood and then i remember when they announced bloodborne and all the memories started flooding back in. I was like this looks like nightmare creatures! I knew i had to play it and now bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time. I play it every single year around this time.

Nightmare Creatures 2 solves the issue with the adrenaline meter and also has really good atmosphere. It’s not quite as hard as this game but it gets repetitive after a while. I wish they would port both of these games to modern hardware with some quality of life improvements like getting rid of the timer in this game. It adds unnecessary difficulty to an already difficult game.

I did get the second game after finishing this one but I don’t know when I’ll get around to playing it. Very pleased the meter is gone.

This game was great. I wish they'd remaster this game. I'd also like to see a remaster of Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm. Have you heard of that one?
