Either that or he became the governor because people thought he saved so many. The story has a lot of holes lol. love the choice make the language in the newspaper clearly come from an aristocratic lens, the people in the slums painted as savages who are ungraciously not doing their duty by not eagerly accepting being locked out, starved, and left to die in order to protect the upper class from the disease, and politicians reassuring others of the upper class that they will “clean up” the slums after the disease subsides, vowing to deport immigrants that they use as scapegoats, theorizing them to have brought the disease. it seems like a pretty intentional parallel to how covid was (and still is) addressed, and how this method never really works because disease does not discriminate and people will always turn desperate when dehumanized to such a level - and especially when that dehumanization is for the sake of the “economy.” wine, something only accessible to the upper classes, being thought to be the holy grail that can cure the disease is like how a lot of life-saving healthcare is only truly accessible to the rich. and it’s a cruel irony that the reason the poor were most exposed to is because they were forced to be overworked alongside the wine in the factory, thereby being exposed to abnormally high doses of the thing that caused the delirium. poisoned for a product made for the rich that they would never be able to access.
@FallenAngelHiroko2 жыл бұрын
The politicians demonized the poor people during Covid. Especially when the "cure" they touted wasn't actually a cure (you still got Covid and died from it--and that's not how vax's work) which made them backpedal "It just lessened the severity. Please disregard us saying it's a cure. We never said that....Do as I say and not as I do! And' don't forget to get your 10th booster shot after we told you it should only take 2.....We never said that either." . So when people wised up to it, they were basically crucified. And now that Covid is effectively "over" so to speak because we aren't as gullible anymore, they're finding something else to keep us divided.

The ending was interesting, but I suspected it reading the context about the protests and how they were pushing it to be sold and exported. It seems like it being a cure became more a rumor, likely because the family probably figured it out before anyone else and tried to stop selling it after a while, which made people think they were hording the "cure" for themselves. But, I didn't get the context of when the family died; I'm assuming they died during the protests when it was the most heated after so many deaths, so then my theory would make sense. The MC said he came for his family I believe, and he didn't start having hallucinations until he came in contact with the wine bottles, particularly when you went into the houses filled with wine in the rooms. That actually makes me think that Albert was using this against potential victims by forcing them to inhale it and experience hallucinations while hunting them. The MC was likely his last victim because he got the results he wanted or something, or maybe that he was able to save those 8 people. Or, maybe he found out that the man came there for his family and not himself and had a change of heart. Either way, it's creepy af that he's chilling around his daughter now. I can imagine he is trying to crawl out of his grave after that letter 😬😭 Also, accessibility options - I know it's been said 100 x but the game deserves it because this game ACTUALLY GETS IT! So, the game presents the letters and newspapers as the only reliable narrators in this world, right? They even expose the corruption and classism. Because we had that letter from Pumpkin Head saying that he was hunting, I think that's the truth. People felt hunted because they were *being* hunted by this dude. My question is - when did our main character get exposed to the wine in order to have the hallucinations he did? You pass through SO much wine (even a room flooded with it) that either he was walking right past what he thought was the "cure" the whole time and could've grabbed some and gone home (which was an option presented that I was curious about) or if that one bottle at the end was actually the only one of that specific kind of cure/fever wine Idk how he got the hallucinations. I could be missing something here. Also was AR the one who wrote that letter about resorting to cannibalism?

So is the Pumpkin Man the Halloween DLC? In the original version, it is someone else? Or some other specter or something? That would mean out character is delusional so it would not surprise me if we are a member of the Brandy family. I think it would be cool if it turns out the wine is some type of drug that the family knows and uses. It does not actually cure the infection, just creates a delusion. Our character did something against the family and ends up getting thrown out and we have to live in the slums. Cut off from the family though, we start going through withdrawal and we are what caused the outbreak

@@user-ys7md2jv6k This was just a theory and the original ending is leaving to be desired. But no, it is not the people in the akuns who make the wine in my theory. My theory is talking about our main character starting out his life on the vineyard and in the mansion. He is either a member of the "Brandy" family or someone who works for the vineyard making the wine so he knows what drug it is used when creating it. Throughout his time, he samples the wine as do the rest of the workers and the family members, but they do it when no one is looking. He consumes enough that he starts forming an addiction to it. His addiction get so strong that he does something that gets him thrown out. He attacks a family member, security finding him bathing in an open caste, he ruins a celebration, etc. Etc. He ends up getting off the property and forced to live in the slums since he has essentially nothing. Like any addiction however, he starts to go through withdrawal since he physically cannot have access to the wine anymore. He either tries to create his own version which turns out to be poison and that is how the outbreak in the slums originated OR he ends up stashing a bottle before getting thrown out, the citizens in the alums end up catching wind of it and forcibly taking the bottle for themselves, consuming it, forming the addiction, and the outbreaks starts. The outsiders upper societies think it is a disease that causes hysteria, anger, sweats, fits of inhuman rage when in reality it is just the citizens going through extreme withdrawal because they are not consuming the drug. That is why they think the wine is a cure: because it just settles their withdrawl

I've watched this entire thing but I will be honest, it made me extremely motion sick, so sometimes I would just listen to you instead of actively watching haha
