Classic Rolls & Bentley: there's a lifetime of knowledge and patience required with those cars. Unfortunately the values of those cars is less than the cost of repair.

Casey, while the shop you mentioned may have been trying to scam you on the fuel leak. That era Rolls does leak from the fuel rail o-rings (a big job). Definitely something to consider doing and a bunch of stuff "while you're in there" (re-sealing brake pumps, thermostat, etc). Loving the content and congrats on opening the shop!

Cool shop name, i like it! Can't wait for future content! By the way, i understand you don't want to take your cars to other shops for work, but have you heard of Omega Auto Clinic? They have a YT Channel called Car Wizard. They fix anything there, from Rolls Royces to Toyotas. The owner is always honest and respects his customers and tries to explain details about work on the cars.

I know just what you're saying. Had a fuel delivery issue and didnt have the time to work on the car. Had it towed to Rick Hendrick Mercedes in Durham, NC. They had the car for a week and they did nothing. Got the car back with broken engine covers, and big black hand prints all over the top of the back seat (fuel pump and sender are under the back seat bottom) They wanted to charge me diagnostics they didnt perform and when I brought up the damage and hand prints all over the seats that had been reupholstered 2 weeks prior, they ghosted me. Once i had a moment of time, took me less than an hour to diagnose and fix the issue. Im a friggin chef not a mercedes tech working for a man with a NASCAR team. Goes to show how some people operate resting on their Laurels with no respect for their customers.

That is a beautiful old Rolls Royce. I like the older ones like that. I knew a couple of people who had collections of them back when I lived in San Diego. I noticed the loose door seal on that passenger door. Are they all bad and need renewing? As an aside. Giada is not a cook cook. She has a restaurant in one of the casinos here in Vegas. She puts creme in her fettuccine All'Alfredo. No real Italian puts creme in anything.😮

I like the concept! I think people would also like you to see you repair historic cars and flip them for genious garage. To keep it simple you could use an insta 360 for the driving shots. Good direction for the channel!
@CaseyPutsch5 ай бұрын
That isn’t simple and if I spend all my time making money for charity, how do I make a living?
@Martin-yi6py4 ай бұрын
I have some thoughts on your channel. Be careful: I am not a professional KZbinr, but I have been watching the Big Channels (ViceGrip Garage, Hoovies Garage, Goonzquad, Car wizard, Watch JRgo, Tavarish (he once had a 944, Casey! :D) BEFORE they were big (Hoovies Garage had 15000 subscribers) but I am not active on KZbin. 1. Highly complex builds are not interesting for a mass audience In the past (e.g. Lycan build) there was not a lot of progress seen on screen because 80% of the time the car "looks" the same and you try to figure out small (but important) things. Unfortunately, the audience wants quick steps and see progress in every video. I know it's sad, but that's youtube. The collision repair channels are succesful because people see how the shape gets restored. -> For highly complex builds maybe an update every month or so would be a great way to present content 2. People are NOT interested in unattainable supercars The current development in channels is to start with a mazda miata and plow their way to a mclaren supercar. They do that for themselves and NOT for the channel. People are much more interested in cars that they know and can maybe one day own (price range until 100 000 euros). Watch JRgo once worked on an R8 and nobody wanted to see that. Keep working on the underdogs! 3. When I say flip/ repair historic cars I mean that you maybe get a good deal on one, or a donor gives it to Genious garage so that students can work on. Maybe something is broken. Instead of sending the cylinder head away to get it redone, visit the company and show how it's done. Be more profound than the typical "driveway" builders aka. ratarossa (I like him, but sometimes it seems like trial and error) The video should have this kind of classic climax car broken (what is broken) - > fixing it (what are the problems) -> test drive (everything works) -> selling it I don't know how you can make a living from KZbin and the charity but it seems you are interested in KZbin. I just wanted to give you my opinion on what you would have to do to attract a certain audience. Again! I have been following you for years and I think you are a valuable member of KZbin. PS: There was a time when your videos were rather negative. I am pretty sure the views went down. Our lives are difficult enough, nobody (normal) watches someone ranting about the world. If you feel sad or depressed (and we all do sometimes) go for a walk with your daughter. Don't post negative videos.

I'm trying to figure out how hard is it to wipe off a wheel. They must really be busy to not take the few minutes to make a customer happy. Who happens to have a pretty big megaphone, and isn't afraid to use it. I can't help but think of all the references in Horse and Bull. :)

Once word is out. You’ll be slammed. Every single high end small shop within a few hours of me has work till the end of time. I just dropped off something today at a shop, I pre-scheduled weeks in advanced and it will still take them a few weeks to finish 8-12 hours of work. It’s getting harder and harder to find quality shops. It might take a little time, but this should prove to be very successful
