Hello Everyone and welcome back to Bapama's Kitchen! Today, we will show you how to make a traditional & authentic GSB Konkani breakfast recipe known as 'Kulitha Rumdan', a soft and fluffy idly cake that is made by grinding a batter made of Horse gram and Split Black Lentils and steaming it in a traditional Indian steamer that we call 'Pedawana' in Konkani.
It is super soft, fluffy and delicious to eat along with 'Hinga Tel', (Asafoetida + Green Chili + Cocout Oil), an accompaniment that pairs very well with this dish. Here's how to make it:
INGREDIENTS:
75g Horse Gram
75g Split Black Lentils (Urad Daal)
150 Grams Rice Rava
Salt to taste
Water to Grind
FOR HINGA CHUTNEY:
3 Medium Sized Green Chilies
1/2 Teaspoon Asafoetida powder
2 Table spoons Coconut Oil
1 Tablespoon Water
Salt to taste
