Hello Bapamma and Ashwin. So good to see our family favourite surnali dosa. The mild flavour of methi in the fermented batter is simply too good. My grand daughter's friend,, Sophia's , grandmother enjoyed it so much when I made for them some years ago in Charlotte. They are excellent bread makers, hence loved these surnalis. Yep, it's perfectly good. Urad daal adds an extra dimension of flavor. We have so much diversity in India that recipes, ingredients, and techniques for the same dish change ever so slightly with every passing kilometer, reflecting the vastness of our great country!
