That's it! That's the version used as background music in some of the Hu's In The Kitchen videos. And those videos were why I recognized it when they sang it at the meet and greet before the concert.

@WarPaint 47 Absolutely correct! All one has to do is watch the videos and live performances, especially "Wolf Totem." . Shireg Shireg is the only song where I've seen Jaya being the primary singer. Galaa's voice is so much deeper and I think that's why he's the lead throat singer.

Since I discovered HU, I have been fascinated with this guy in particular two strings on his instrument look how much variety he gets this guy is incredible and his throat singing enjoyable!! I really like wolf totem!! And after listening to that and reading the words This Is A Warrior's Song it's beautiful this guy's throat singing and you feel it boom right in the chest and you want to know something there is no way on God's green Planet no way at all I would ever insult a Mongolian person and call them Chinese I don't care if they even got it in the bloodline I would not insult them that way no way no way not me!! They have a good history and Genghis Khan Mighty he was a conqueror of Nations these guys have a lot of Rich history!! I'm not going to mess with you history but just the same these guys are great and they do Native songs they play their own instruments and these guys are so authentic it's awesome HU!!

Lost my beloved of 41 years 8 months ago. Always been a fan of Tuvan throat singing, then found the HU then this. WOW. These wonderful and talented young men came to this planet JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME, NO?. Their music stimulates the 7th, 6th , and 5th Charka in me. If there was a soul charka, it stimulates that as well. Emotions locked in the body and heart is released like THuNDER. I read the comments from my fellow admirer's below and see my tribe.. I bow with great respect to Ts Galbadrakh and The HU! My life will be complete upon seeing the HU Live. God protect and bless this group of young prophets and sages of sound vibration!

For those who don't already know, the "Chinggis Khaanii Magtaal" was composed by Munkhbat Jamsranjav with lyrics created by Tserendorj Tseyenby in 1993. This wonderful performance by The HU band's Gala (Galbadrakh Tsendbaatar) is an outstanding cover, as permitted by "fair use" clauses in international copyright law. (Unfortunately, downloads are not allowed unless or until the song's originators agree to such a request.)

dont think people even realize how powerful the thrum is.this voice technique if you would..imagine in your mind a thousand horses and on them 1,000 warriors .then to hear a thousand thrums on the open plains. a sound so powerful that it commanded fear into the hearts of all in it's wake.much respect to this brother for honoring his heritage and his people and culture so well.we must never forget where we all come from and his people were the greatest adventurers the world has ever known.

Love Mongolian folks, the throat singing just moves my Soul, doesn't matter what place you hail from in the world, your Soul recognises the music & singing. I listen to The Hu & other artists from Mongolian Turkic background more than any others on youtube. Really love Horse Head Fiddle, i used to think my culture had a monopoly on weird sounding yet hauntingly stilling, in the bagpipes but Mongolian is tops. Feel inspired to visit Mongolia, wonders if a Scottish Celt would stand out over there lolz. All us Clan folks talk through music, i'm sure there is a way. Five stars, hope to hear more n more ☆☆☆☆☆ ♞💖😍

If anyone else couldn't get this out of their head and has to learn it: the high melody part is a slide down from G# -> E -> C# -> B then trills C# and B down to G# then slides back up to a quick B->C#->B->C# ->G#. The chorus is C# -> E -> slide to F# and back to E -> C#. The main verse centers around that C# and goes up as far as the E and down as far as the G#. It sounds like the first verse he might start on the G# and moves up as far as B and down as far as C# in similar patterns to the later verses centered around the C#. Love this tune and cant wait to see the Hu live one day. Enjoy!
