I don’t need a full open world for a horse game. I don’t get why more people don’t do open zones, like Dragon Age Inquisition. Start with one. Let you unlock more as you compete or something. Gives an incentive to compete, plus unlocks new places for you to explore. It doesn’t have to be seamless. I don’t mind loading into zones

This game promises ALOT of mechanics which means it may take a while for the game to fully release, it may take 5+ years for the amount of game mechanics they feature and include in this game. But it is wonderful! I appreciate how they will promise a proper dressage experience. Many games treat it as some "fancy trotting and random cantering", they dont even list common movements like the leg yield (Well, some DO but I've only seen one game have that). I love it, it's alot to take in but I love the progress! I'm super excited for when it comes out and I'll stay in contact with this game for sure!

So far this game looks legitimately promising. The devs have actual experience and a plan for what will be available on release vs. what will be updated later so the scope seems less… too good to be true. Experience at least has been lacking when games fail to release/update (like SWEM). Not to mention, the footage from the demo already looks gorgeous and it’s the DEMO. Like you mentioned that does a lot for confidence in the project. While I can’t donate right now, I’m glad *some* good news has popped up lately. It’s been a bit absent for horse games lol.

Not me already planning to get the most stubborn and bad manner horse and create a fantasy-like success story for him/her by being understanding and kind while doing what's best for my pretty pony. >v> The graphics are AMAZING already, a but slow in display tbh but the design and movements are incredible nonetheless. I don't mind having no open world. I'm fine with doing it like in real life: Just doing groundwork, watching them, grooming them and occassionally taking them out for a casual ride on a small trail nearby so we can both see nature. (It might be a great idea to add wildlife and give us a camera feature so we can actually go out and take photos of interesting scenes and animals! I personally would LOVE that and probably focus on mainly that, since that would be what I'd do irl as well. XD) I adore the fact they implemented personal interactions btw. Games neglect that important part of horsegirl/horseboy life. WHO DOESN'T WANNA SNUGGLE THEIR BABY, AMIRITE??

Not my fav horse model but excited to see what's to come. So many other fine details like the round pen and ground poles are absent in other games. I'm not mad its not open world but its dope that's coming too. Tho its still primitive I feel like this game seems the most promising out of all the ones rising right now. Horse Isle 3 has a huge scope like this game is going for- it would be nice if this game gave them a run for its money. It can be done but should be implemented in stages to get each aspect right. Then we can have a non controversial all discipline horse game.

i LOVE how the horse properly just lifts their legs over the tiny jumps instead of doing a full, rounded jump where they lift themselves in the air! the only thing i can think to comment on right now is with the jumping mechanic, as i honestly DO wish overjumping was a possibility as that *would* be realistic; and what i mean by that is in terms of the horses training level and the riders control of speed/striding, like in tales of rein ravine where you must adjust the speed with half halts to make sure the horse doesn't absolutely launch itself over a jump, thus causing an overjump and unnecessarily tiring out the horse. otherwise, this is definitely the most ambitious and realistic horse game ive seen in YEARS and all sounds quite amazing! with only two devs too? i really hope they find more people to help them out seeing how much depth they want to add! i will say though, i am always suspicious nowadays seeing how many almost equally ambitious horse games failed or turned into something quite toxic with either money, empty promises, their community, or all of the above.

sounds good on paper but 1. its going to take a LONG time to make, especially open world. 2. It's going to be incredibly EXPENSIVE to make the game and maintain servers. I love the enthusiasm but i feel like they should just focus on dressage or jumping, implement that well, build up player base and a good community and then slowly start working on other things. Trying to do everything at once is a recipe for disaster

I'm just wondering whether the realism will be fun enough to enjoy as a game. I can imagine the temperature stuff getting annoying really fast. Having no story is definitely something that lessens the chance of the game being more enjoyable for many people and seems somewhat risky to not have even a half-assed one, at least in my opinion.

You know what ive just realized? (And this is no shade to the devs or this game, its just something that came to mind and i dont want to forget it). We have all these "realistic horse ownership simulators" popping out left and right, but as far as i remember i cant point to a single horse game where you actually get to be a horse.. not counting those low quality android games. Just think about it. A game like Wolfquest where you get to play as a wild horse, from birth to adulthood. Where you get to grow, leave your herd, join a bachelor herd, claim your own herd and have foals of your own. Wouldnt that be fun?

All of the elements in this game sound so amazing.. I’m so so excited! Im going to keep checking in on it, saving my money etc, if it does end up costing a bunch. The developer/s sound amazing and very knowledgeable! I love the fact you have to warm your horse up because for some reason I enjoy that part the most in real life, I’m hoping that it does end up being a space to jump system because I prefer that but it’s obviously what works best ❤ Another thing I noticed that seems to happen in a lot of horse games is the leg animations.. the lower leg never seems to move and im hoping maybe this will be the game to change that, the other thing is that most of the time, developers over animate neck movements and don’t do as much to the legs or the other way around but the balance is so hard to find, I would love forehand turns aswell 😊. Right now because it’s so early on in development I feel like we’re all still holding on for dear life hoping nothing goes wrong… 😭😂 but they seem to have everything really well mapped out so I’m rooting for this to be the end horse game to over take or battle star stable 😂🎉 13:54 GREAT IDEA 😂

I think they should have something called a backlog which, in game dev, is essentially a bin you put all your ideas youd like to do but aren't sure you will get to. If they keep to the jumping, eventing and dressage, as well as the horse creator, everything else could be a post-1.0 feature. I also am not personally opposed to having things like western as DLC, as they are full sections of content and not just cheap microtransactions.

This game looks incredible. I'm with you on quality over quantity, though. I do hope they don't get too "feature" crazy, and continue to add more and more without fully fleshing out and polishing the core features, which I think should be - clean/realistic looking graphics, accurate horse movement, satisfying and challenging gameplay mechanics (i.e. riding that feels like riding). Other than those core features, all I want is a fairly insular 3-day eventing focused game, where you train the 3 disciplines, along with the ability to walk around your stable, clean your horses and their environment, feed and supplement your horses (a bit of a nutrition focus would be cool), and maybe even maintain your gear. It would be cool to have DLC's with new shows you can go to and stuff like that, that allow you to compete in new environments. I guess I just want a modern first person version of Equestriad 2001 (anyone else remember that game, or am I aging myself here?), but with an on-the-ground at home stable element.

The project seems promising, but I just can't shake off the worry that this is going to be a case of the game that maybe won't be an intentional scam, but may end up in a lot of hot water for not keeping promises due to overambition. Those are just two people with a bunch of patreon supporters. Studios with 10+ people burn through budgets of 500k in a matter of weeks when making games this big. The development either is going to be very slow and funded mostly out of the devs' pockets, or at some point they will have to give up on some of the most ambitious features.

I simply don't trust a game with such a large scale, tiny team and is promising so much. I just think they should scale down. Games that aim for 100% realism don't make it the devs realiase that it would take them 10 years. People saying 5 years are being too optimistic, i follow a lot of video games and their development and still the most realistic games are made by rockstar a company that has hundreds of staff but still had to abuse their staff to get the game out the door. Its one thing to promise the world its another to actually deliver it. The devs need to scale back now or this Will never come out

While I don’t like or support (western/American) horse racing, I guess it will add variety. It’s ok I guess, options are options! I’m sure some people will be happy with it

I personally don't support Dressage, just due to the amount of abuse going on behind the scenes. But, it is part of the horse world XD
