Betfair's auto cash-out asks how much profit you want to make. I type in £5 (10% of my £50 win stake) because if you're too greedy you won't be matched in running and you'll lose the £50.
How to use Betfair and their auto cash-out is explained below.

There are two ways to use these tips: 1. BACK THEM EACH-WAY with a bookmaker, or 2. BACK-TO-LAY, where you back them to win on Betfair Exchange tonight, then lay them to lose in the morning at lower odds, giving you a profit whether the horse wins or loses.
You need high odds to make this work, but sometimes Betfair Exchange doesn't offer the high odds I quote, whereas bookmakers do. In that case, to operate "back-to-lay", back to win (not each-way) with a BOOKIE in the evening, and lay at lower odds on Betfair Exchange in the morning. The odds of horses I select will usually drop overnight.
Dependent on the size of your bookie back-bet, you need to know how much your lay bet (your bet-to-lose bet) with Betfair should be, in order to guarantee a profit whether the horse wins or loses.

If you just want to back each-way with a bookmaker, and not bother with the laying part, do so before midnight because odds usually decrease overnight.
If you want to back-to-lay, you can capitalise on the overnight odds decrease by backing to WIN before midnight on Betfair Exchange, then cashing out for a small profit the following morning between 10.30 and 11am. This usually generates a small profit whether the horse wins or loses.
Using Betfair Exchange is explained below. To cash out on back-to-lay, click the race in which you backed and you'll see an orange CASH OUT box. Click it to get your profit.
If you only back each-way with a bookie, you could use 1% of a £2,000 betting bank (working capital) for stakes. So, on day 1, you'd stake £10 each-way (total cost £20) on each horse. If it was a winning day and your bank increased, then on day 2 you'd use 1% of that bigger bank. If on the other hand it was a losing day, you'd use 1% of the smaller bank. This strategy capitalises on winning runs, but protects your capital on losing runs.
If you only back-to-lay, you could use 5% of a smaller £1,000 betting bank for stakes. So, on day 1, you'd stake £50 to WIN on each horse. Why bigger stakes from a smaller bank? Well, you profit on a high percentage of back-to-lay bets.
At the end of each month, take all profits from your betting bank.
ON YOUR FIRST DAY, I'd advise you to start with a betting bank only 10%
of the recommended size and use £2 each-way stakes or £5 back-to-lay stakes. As your profits build, increase stakes until your bank reaches the recommended size. This way, you're not risking big stakes on unfamiliar tips.

HOW to back a horse on BETFAIR EXCHANGE
Visit betfair.com/exchange and open a deposit account. To bet, make sure the EXCHANGE tab (top-left of your screen) is highlighted, not the Sportsbook tab. Next, click on HORSE RACING, then scroll down to find today's meetings and race times.
Click on a time and you'll see a list of horses' names, with odds in blue and pink squares. Blue means back to win. Find the horse you want to back, and click its blue box.
On the right of your screen 2 small boxes will appear. Type your stake in the empty right-hand box (no £ sign is needed) and click the PLACE BETS button below. Finally, click CONFIRM. If Betfair's odds are lower than you want, INCREASE THE ODDS by typing higher odds in the box. The bet will show as UNMATCHED, and you'll see the following display:

Leave the default setting as it is, at "Cancel". Go back in a couple of hours and, if the bet is still unmatched, set lower odds or cancel the bet and walk away -- no bet is better than a losing bet.
Betfair use decimal odds which include 1 unit for a stake. Thus 9/2 (which should be 4.5) becomes 5.5, and 5/1 (which should be 5.0) becomes 6.0, and so on.
To use AUTO cash-out, click the grey box beside the cash-out box. It asks how much profit you want to make. I put £5 (10% of my £50 win stake) - you may not be matched at higher.
