The new fencing with barbed wire surprised me but I also understand the need to keep the animals safe from those who may be intent on causing trouble. I look forward to seeing the video which documents the intake of the 47 just rescued; there were some very extreme cases there - such suffering - and I am so grateful those horses are with HPHS. Keep up the great work!

Yes, I was surprised they needed barbed wire fencing to keep people off the property. Wonder if we'll get the intake for the 47 horses since the media team was gone and they said this video was to cover that time.

I had a 3 year old Thoroughbred who had EPM. She would do some weird things sometimes like randomly bite at her sides and shake her head. Never in my life have I owned a horse who hated to go forward/jump. I was sitting in the arena one day with my friend, thankfully feet were out of the stirrups. She reared up suddenly for no reason and flipped over on top of me. We got her tested and found out she had EPM and she was given to a friend as a pasture horse. It's nice to hear there are some treatment options available now even if its not 100%.

I have watched you all for the past year. You are all amazing how you help all the horses and donkeys/mules you have gotten from auctions and ones dropped off to you. Unfortunately you can't save all of them. I do truly understand. This is a sad but a happy time for them. No more suffering. I think they should be recognized if they have to be given the last act of kindness. No where have I seen their names noted somewhere special. Is there a wall where they can be recognized. A wall of fame maybe. Just my opinion only a thought. They were heros too. The other animals get adopted. And some are followed up upon. Can we recognize those who cross over the 🌈 rainbow 🌉 bridge. Sincerely much love and hugs.... Roseann Aquisto.

Hi again Really encouraging people are learning about you more as time goes on to where they'd prefer surrendering with you then taking their horses mules donkeys to an auction. Getting the word out about the slaughter pipeline surely has to help. So many people don't know about or understand what can actually happen beyond an auction or even what a kill buyer is and does. Getting the word out as you do I believe to be a hugely important part of what you do to help and save lives... As always thx for sharing and all the most special work you all do!

Love what you are doing! It's soul crushing to know how much suffering these animals endure. You are making such a difference in these animals lives, and the lives of your followers who are being educated in the affects of animal cruelty. I just wish and hope though that this love is being extended to all animals - including pigs, chickens, cows, goats, etc. It would be very hypocritical and conflicting to love and save these animals, but throughout the day, consume these other animals as food. All animals feel pain and love. Because we care for one animal shows that we have the compassion and empathy to care for another animal. Every time we eat an animal, we are paying other people to do the many types of torturing for us. I sincerely hope that your organization and your viewers are aware of this, and because of you beautiful channel, are trying to shift to a non animal consumption diet and lifestyle.

Such a pity you need to protect the property in this way. But, a necessary evil none the less. Also a great way to keep coyotes and other predators out other than humans. Can I ask if you have anyone that stays over night on the property. Security cameras would also be a good idea especially as you are becoming more popular on social media. Night time security would be a must with you caring for so many animals, never mind the machinery and medications you have there. Keep up the great work. You all keep my faith in humanity alive xXx

I was wondering that too. Is there a problem? Or is it just the nuts who don’t like that Horse Plus is willing to euthanize the horses that are suffering? If I had to guess, that would be the issue. Some people are not realistic. Is it better to end suffering and put that money and effort into horses that will actually benefit.
