I am sure every person Eric thanked feels blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of Hickstead's life. He was one in a million, just like his rider and they were breathtaking to watch when they were together.

It made me cry, how hard he tried not do cry. It's sooo sad, even it's nearly 9months ago. Hickstead was the biggest champion, he won all the importand events over the world. Just amazing and breathtaking ! Hope he jumps as well over there as he jumped on earth. The angels protect him now... Rest in peace hickstead

I love how when he talks about the victories, he doesn't talk about himself, but the horse. a true horseman.

His last statement at the end was just heartbreaking. I'm dehydrated from all the tears.....Ugh. To anyone that says "it's just an animal" you are missing out on something incredible.

Wow, Eric is such an amazing and genuine horseman. He is such an awesome athlete as well. I literally cannot imagine what this must have been like for him having had this to happen to Hickstead in such a public way. So, so sad. I hope he does indeed get gold in London!!
