I have one of these cameras. I learned something very valuable! I never knew that the ground glass cover would swing to the side. I always just opened the hood like I have to do on my Dad's Speed Graphic (it does not have a Graphlock back), but this makes it hard to use a loupe to focus. Swinging the cover to the side solves the problem. Thank you so much for this.

I’d love some videos on other Topcon cameras, specifically the RE Super and Super D/DM. There’s only one video in English covering the Super D, the rest are in other languages.

Very nice description. By the way, in MXV settings, X is X-sync, as you pointed out. You also noted V is for the self-timer. It stands for the German word “Vorlaufwerk,” which is “preliminary mechanism” or “advance mechanism” in English. Meaning operation before the shutter trips. M, I heard, stands for “Medium delay” needed for flashbulbs to reach peak output when the shutter opens.

Hey @japanvintagecamera I have a yashica 635. I’ve tried fixing it up but the inside lens I think has fungus. I’ve tried cleaning it but no dice. Do you know where I can get a replacement internal lens??

I purchased one of these cameras some time ago, but, have not been able to discover what lens matches what cam or key to use at what focal length. The focal length marking colors have been worn off on my camera. Is there a chart or something? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I live and work in the Tokyo area as well. Is there a developing lab you recommend or do you self develop/scan? Thanks!
