Regarding a "Computer can't do it" - the Big syndicates used to use a "Wisdom of the Crowds" approach with specific and specially designed "scoring sheets" which they outsourced to many "video/replay observers" who had undertook training by more professional trip handicappers by the syndicate. The data was collected and quantified and then validated by the teams expert replay workers. The data once numerated and quantified similar to plus/minus metrics was then inputted into their Predictive Systems. Alan Woods of Hong Kong Syndicate fame had an operation in the Phillipines where the operators just watched and scored "trips" from replays all day. Zeljko's team which are probably the biggest horse racing syndicate on the planet started outsourcing "replay/video" scoring sheets when they were known as Humbleton.
