New to your channel. How often do you have to sharpen your tools? Do they last more then 1 horse? I have not done any searching for answers yet, but I assume the hoof grows and the animals don't get hurt by you taking off so much.

I know it doesn't hurt the horse when you are touching the hot shoe to his hoof or he wouldn't let you do it, but was curious if you are just checking for size when you do that or does it help the hoof at all by maybe sealing the new trimmed edge. Sorry if that's a crazy question, obviously Im not at all skilled in this but love learning about different trades like yours. There is no way I could do your job with the bending over so much. My back couldn't take it. So thankful there are people like you that handle the physical pain to take care of animals. Someone needs to be buying you a massage for every holiday & birthday, you deserve it! Thanks for sharing your videos. 🙂🐴💜

I know on your previous videos, that there have been doggos who’ve stolen bits of a horse’s hoof that you’ve clipped off. Does the hoof hold any nutritional value for the dog? Also, I know you’ve seen plenty of dogs, but have you ever had a cat winding his/her way through your legs begging to be petted? I watched the shorter version of this video, but what’s the black rubber looking thing for?

S&S Horseshoeing I think it looks very cool, and it’s great that there are different styles. It’s interesting that you can put a shoe in it without harming the hoof wall so if you don’t want to put a shoe again you don’t have to wait out the healing process, but I’m not sure of how durable they are, and if it allows the foot to breathe, if it gathers humidity and how it works with the foot growing, I’d love to see a video of you trying or seeing how it works, because I really respect your opinion. Btw I’m from Argentina:)
