It' so awful to see the rein and bit being pulled in that way while flexing horse. The old rough methods need to be moved away from as not necessary. Sorry I couldn't watch this video past 16:29 as it's so terrible seeing horse get abused and having no chance to really learn what she wants him to do.

I wanted to watch this because I follow Raleigh Link and I was wondering if you were going to come to the same conclusion as she does and you did. I was wondering when you were going to say it's abusive and you did. I usually only see his videos when Raleigh is calling out his abuse when he goes to a person farm and beats the shit out of their horse I didn't know he has these camps were he teaches all of these people to be abusive too so now I'm even more disgusted with him. So I want to thank you for posting this because the more people know about Clint Anderson and his abusive training I hope the less people will pay him to abuse their horse. Now please will you do a video on The Big Lick to call those assholes out too.

Yes, of course, I would be happy to cover them. I've been requested a while back to review those discussing people, so I'll be sure to check it out soon!

He is full of himself. I feel sorry for him the day he will be humbled. Poor sweet horse.

Just to let you all know Clinton Anderson no longer lives in Australia .!! He moved to the US years ago . Clintons training METHODS are so ABUSIVE !! This is not how you should train horses . Just follow Warwick Schiller .Another ex pat Aussie who actually knows how to train horses He takes the quiet way to train .

I'm impressed by your take on this. I thought I was the only one who didn't like his methods. I subscribed.

I’m so glad to see anyone involved with horses willing to get public with their opinions. I subscribed. My opinion of CA-heck no. I strongly disliked him way before 2000 when he was ‘new’ in the US. I see forced submission in everything CA does. Horses that become compliant because their actual lives are on the line. Pain is in every experience they have with people. Back in 2000 he was selling horses he’d partially personally trained for a minimum of 100,000 bucks. Saying they were trained and ridden a lot and were great. 3 and 4 year olds. That’s when a much stronger feeling came real. He just sickens me. I thought then he only wanted ‘elite’ clients. Thank goodness real horse people knew back then he was awful. So that’s when he branched out to do sooo many clinics. I personally think he’s a very bitter man. I think horses pay the biggest price, though I imagine everyone in CA’s life pays in one way or another. For the people who are willing to want to learn from him…. Just why?

I don't like Clinton Anderson's way of 'training.' I hate how he whips horses, it's so abusive and aggressive. That halter with the knots tied in it looks like the equine version of a prong collar.

First video of yours that I'm seeing, but I'm happy to support this content. I appreciate how you point out unnecessary and abusive behaviour and how you explain how you would act instead. Great video ❤️👏

I'm wondering if you would review free spirit equestrian. I feel like she's pretty good at taking things slow and follow the horse. She seems to be good at reading them too. It might be nice to look at something positive in mids of all the abuse

I'd be happy to check her out! Always looking to support other positive channels! 🐴

In that case another one I'd suggest is The Clever Cowgirl. Not all her videos are training related, but I think the ones that are really are great examples of building a horse up and working on a strong foundation ❤️ I really appreciate your breakdown of this video. Jesus some people just should never be near a horse. Ever.

@Tunafish44 thanks for the suggestion,I'll add that to the list of reviews!

I stopped watching Clinton Anderson a long time ago because I agree, he is excessively aggressive! The horses look stressed out. There are so many other clinicians who have a ~calming effect~ overall w the horses...they are effective and the horses look happy. CA horse's do not look happy at al!

Unbelievable backward treatment of intelligent creatures by some not on the same level. Money again over real horse understanding.

Anyways about Clinton Anderson you know I used to watch him but now I'm not a fan of him so much anymore and I don't know what happened.

In all my years of owning horses I have never owned a whip not even as a way when lunging, never used flags.I saw a horse after a trainer took on trip to mountains 24 hrs later cause he beat the shit out of it tied to tree left it on it's own till mid day next with bears in area. When he brought it back I treated it with peroxide and Sav.Best horse I had was green broke paint mare.I could ride her anywhere for long periods could walk under sideways and longway.could ride bareback with main holding only,my sister rode her backwards holding her tail. She would jump ditches, walk with traffic right beside, could shoot off her honk slam doors ect.Patches was her name man I miss her.

All this modern mumbo jumbo is simply dominance . Moving their feet ... why .I've never used a whip with flag on the end either . Licking and chewing is a sign of worry not compliance. We bite our lip or swallow when nervous.
