We have these systems for years already, the entire concept is a Dutch design from the 70's. With one big difference: We don't spoil money and use a dedicated truck form what ever make. We put it in a so called 'Hook container' which can be transported by any HC truck, either from the FD or civil Cie. We use that concept for all FF equipment which only has to be transported and once on scene does not require a vehicle. We have dozens of it, varying from Command Units via Water Basins to Foam Units.

that's a hooklift truck. This is an amazing concept. I'd love to see some videos of your department in action. It sounds like you guys have a lot of toys to play with

What do you mean "Toys"?

So, seeing your previous comment on another video of theirs, has me perplexed. Your comment is almost identical to one another except for a minor discrepancy. You said Dutch has had sine 70's in this video but in previous video you said Dutch has had since the 80's. Just curious as to which is the truth, if any, in your comments.

What's the difference? We're talking about 40-50 years ago. Concept is from the 70's, large roll-out is from the 80's. The averige District has dozens of those "boxes", for different purposes. Varying from HV-Pumps, to mobile command units, decontamination units and large scale medical equipment (From Ambu service).

BTW: Your reply exactly shows the difference between the American way of thinking and the Western European way.

Yeah what’s the fully automated part? The guy driving, or the guys in the back laying out the hose?

Way way too slow. Pickup speed should be at 20mph minimum. Go look at manure reels. Ag has the fire world licked on many fronts.
