Would that help with threads that have a nick or notch in them from using a hacksaw to remove a stuck hose? I have water that squirts up because of damaged threads.

It might. If the notch went all the way through then it will not help. If the threads are nicked then you might want to check the rubber gasket. Water shouldn't be getting by the seal.

@@Doityourselfwithjoe Thanks for responding. I was thinking about the gasket replacement as well though the one I have is fairly new. I tried some plumbers tape, but I probably need to layer it on thicker. Thank you.
