The doctor and hospital needs to get their act together. Have more compassion. Either answer is very emotional and important to the patient. They need to make sure to call the patient ASAP!

As a cancer patient myself it's completely unacceptable that your doctor FORGOT about you! It makes me so angry because they know full well the extreme anxiety a patient goes through waiting for the results. I have such an amazing team of oncologists that are so on top of everything for me it breaks my heart for you that you're not getting the same. We are our own advocates unfortunately so stay on every one of them and hold them accountable because after all it's only your life we're talking about here right. 🧡 wishing you the very best and hugs to you...

@@blackpantherqueen6981 What part of her comment exactly gives you that impression?! It's unacceptable that a patient has to hunt down their own results to be able to continue treatment. They told Romee that she would get her results on monday, but that's when she would need to start chemo if it hadn't worked. OP was just making a comment about how it should have gone, based on her own experience. A team that communicates and works together for the patient. Good for you that you seem to have such confidence in the medical system, but it's not perfect. And people get brushed off and sent home, when their symptoms should be taken seriously. So, yes! You have to be your own advocate and stand up for yourself. Doctors may not be machines, but the entire system is run by machines. Computers will make sure you can avoid mistakes like this. Hell, even a desktop calendar will work. Plus, the fact that it has happened with Romee over and over shows how bad it is.

Yes honestly I think she’s helped so so many, I was drawn to her because I am myself in remission and when I listen to Romee I don’t feel so alone, don’t get me wrong my family and the Macmillan nurses have been absolutely amazing but to sit down in a quiet bedroom and put Romee on I feel I’m listening sometimes to myself sometimes to a friend if that makes sense, best wishes from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been through this or has family battling this horrid disease xxxxxxx
