Blimey o'riley, this is nuts! I know public information films can sometimes be intense in nature because of their overall purpose, but this just builds and builds and becomes so unnerving. I'd be pretty unsettled if I saw this on my telly, even now!

God imagine being a doctor or nurse in this scenario. You'd have to keep patients calm,yourself calm and maintain a grip on your own sanity while trying to keep them and yourself alive. I know for a fact,if I was a an employee in that scenario,that somehow made it out alive,I'd quit. I'd be too traumatised

@PJay-wy5fx 0 seconden geleden I laughed so hard at this film! At the same time, it has taught me some valuable lessons. Don't go into hospitals: - where staff have fire proof hands that enable them to open metal chute doors that are scorching hot with the fire that is ranging right behind them, - where staff are wearing uniforms that are obviously doused in a fire accelerant, causing them to catch fire when they come within 10 ft of a fire - that don't have any sprinkler systems (duh..) - that only have white people in them. As demonstrated, this category of hospitals is exceptionally flammable. I think I'll be fine!

Probably not the kind of videos to get a massive amount of views. Try to find that really scary one from the home office in the UK about the risks of not taking out travel insurance, that was scary for a child at the time, whatever holiday the people in the presentation had everything possible went wrong 😑 😅

This video made me more angry than anything else. It might - of course - just be a testament to how sophisticated fire safety has become. -People did smoke in hospitals back then but never on the ward. People would go outside or to designated areas. -The "fire safety" doors were pathetic. In this era, they were heavy like tanks or vault doors, you couldn't just whack one open like the nurse did. Also, they are partly heavy to ensure self closing, that way they can't just hang open. (Modern fire safety doors are a lot thinner but still have the self closing mechanisms) -When a fire alarm/smoke alarm is active, all lifts freeze and stop dead. Why was the janitor's lift still moving? -The nurses asking why no one was telling them what to do - did FIRE DRILLS NOT EXIST? -Why did the firefighters not bring out the huge crashmat for people to jump down onto from the higher floors? -Where are the sprinklers/flame suppressors? Where are the flame retardant blankets? Why were Fire Exits not more clearly marked? I also thought putting immobile patients on upper floors was plainly stupid and not done. Then he provides the anecdote of a hospital doing just that until they saw this short film...OMG...sometimes humans really are alive thanks to dumb luck...
