Listening to a beast like Samson and working out with slightly lighter weight isn't going to cause him to lose any views anyway.

Samson is an inspiration indeed.I think sam needed to hear this critiquing. He has tons of potential. I definitely took something away from this video just hearing what samson had to say. When he said, when you lift heavier weight than you should be,( and not that you're not capable of lifting it) you tend to loose focus of the goal of breaking down the muscle and the slow eccentric and squeeze at the top and tend to focus on just moving the weight. Solid advice coming from a professional bodybuilder.

I really like how Samson explained chest going heavier. You’re incorporating shoulders. We use our shoulders and arms on a daily basis. Our shoulders are more dominant. I noticed when I go heavy my front shoulders start to hurt. And get super tight. But when I go lighter my shoulders do not hurt or feel tight like a pump at all. Because I’m able to isolate just my chest muscles. Even if you contract your chest good. Say 80% chest and 20% shoulders help to push the heavier weight. You’re not getting maximum chest growth. I try so hard to explain this to people. Heavy weight means nothing. If you want to build a good physique or you want to be a power lifter is two different things. But by going lighter. Really isolating the chest muscles 100% chest front delts 0% after a while if you want to go heavy to just see. I have always increased my strength by going lighter actually isolating my chest in full with lighter weights more reps. And then max out and it makes it so much easier.

Sam reps looks remarkable. So much smoother. I hope he continues with this kind of training. It makes so much sense about tearing your muscle trying to bang it out . Anything Samson says I'm listening regardless.

One thing I’m always thankful for is my father who was a great help in mentoring me and teaching me a lot of lessons in life. I think Sam is a lot like many young guys who did not have good leadership in their life and therefore fail to listen. He gets to train and learn from Mr. Olympia himself and it’s almost as if he feels he knows everything. One piece of advice for all young dudes out there, be open to advice and soak up knowledge like a sponge. It’s the best advice I can give you and LISTEN to people who are older if they are trying to guide you. It will save you from a lot of mistakes.

Honestly Samson was dropping some great advice. Bodybuilding isn’t about being strong, it’s about growing the muscle in the most efficient way possible. “Do you want to be strong, or do you want to be grow muscle”. Took notes from this.

I know it was his 3rd working set but anyone notice how Sam got less reps with proper form with 100s versus him pumping out 150s with bad form. Mechanical Tension. Actually using the chest and not just moving weight from point A to point B

Samson is such an educated person. I’ve been preaching this kind of movement (mind to muscle) for years to many people at the gym. We grow under resistance. Drop sets are also very effective to get maximum pump. Was never about the weight. Heavy weights will only cause long term injuries. Funny how life is though.. people listen to a giant bodybuilder but won’t take advice from a man who is smaller than them. This video was a breath of fresh air.. kudos to Sam for absorbing what Samson was explaining 🙏
