I noticed that these wonderful Hostas have no slug or snail damage. What is being done to prevent slugs and snails from damaging the leaves?
@gardencrossings2 ай бұрын
There are a lot of pine trees around and I think the pine needles help. This is not my garden so I am not sure of they do anything to prevent them.

I loved this video. I want to expand a bed where it is shade. This was so inspiring and I love hostas. Love that you gave the names and now a I have couple I wasnt sure about that I am gonna go order. I would love to see the Miss America if they have it. Absolutely loved this video. Oh and being in the south, I saw I can have my order delayed till Sept or Oct. Is that right? Perfect option for here.
@gardencrossings2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can select a future ship week. Just make a note on the order as well. Here is the link to Miss America.... www.gardencrossings.com/product/hosta-shadowland-miss-america/

@GardenDoodles2 жыл бұрын
It is most likely Island Breeze but you can verify at Walter’s Gardens website.
@gardencrossings2 жыл бұрын
Based off what Walters currently has, Island Breeze would be the closest guess. Although they have many hostas that they don't currently carry in this bed.

Hi Heidi, I do have some hostas bought without tag, I wanted to share the pic to you to identify the name? Where can I share the pics ?
@gardencrossings5 ай бұрын
There are over 3000 registered hostas with names. I can try and guess, but I think it would be better to share photos on a hosta facebook group for identification.

Thank you Heidi for the Hosta tour.. I was just talking with my daughter about our hostas (I have a few different ones) and when she realized they were classified as the same plant she was so surprised & I said “oh, you have no idea how many there are and how different and beautiful they can be” and BAM! Your tour popped up on my KZbin feed! lol, so I immediately shared this with her. 😊♥️🌱
