Thanks for this… I sincerely appreciate you show-casing Nigerian tribes. We know this is a skit but Nigerian parents love their children. Allow me to give a diffrent translation: The first man.. Hausa people are simply down to earth, they take you for your word and hardly negotiate price of things or commodities, they love people genuinely and very committed to their business. The 2nd: Yoruba. They are the most educated among Nigerian tribes, they don’t joke with food and love different delicacies, *disowning a child* is something you can see in few homes among them *if and only if* the child remains adamant to be a good and industrious child. 3rd Igbo: They are the most industrious and business minded tribe in Nigeria, they also don’t joke with education, they are often associated with understanding life from a profit and loss standpoint. If nothing benefits them, they don’t have any business with it.

While this is just a skit, a comedy the 3 characters depicted the 3 major tribes in Nigeria perfectly- the Hausa/Fulani is often polygamous with many wives and children so a child is identified by which wife had him, also, he doesn't joke with his cows, he sometimes values them more than humans; the Yorubas love to learn skills/handwork and value education a lot, the Igbo man is all about business and money.....

The skit you've just watched is the story of the differences among the 3 major ethnic groups of Nigeria. There are hundreds if not thousands of ethnicities in the country, each with peculiarities. It is quite true among the nomadic Fulani ethnic group that their herds of cattle are valued higher than human lives, however, within this ethnic group are also the elite who are wealthy and educated politicians, businessmen and women, and professionals. Their core values may not be the same as the nomadic cattle herders. The Yorubas and Igbos also produce the elites of Nigeria as it is with other ethnic groups, but the Igbos are known as entrepreneurs who could sell you anything and still haggle to get the best deal out there. The Yorubas are not as patient when it comes to haggling to get the best deal because they could quite easily get irritated if their asking price is not accepted. The question then is whose son would you want to be?🤣😅😂
