Hey! I’m really grateful to have found your channel. I am a nurse and I work overnights. Things have been super stressful over the last couple years and I decided to take up painting as a means to relieve stress and use that creative side of my brain. I had NO idea what I was doing lol! I am so thankful for what you and your husband do! I am working through the acrylic beginners series and I have learned so much! Just wanted to let you guys know what you do is so helpful to my mental health 😁 I’ve been doing a painting a day on my days off and just finished this one today. It was super fun and colorful! I live in Colorado, and it's very dry and low humidity here. I find that even with the Liquitex basics line, I still have to add about as much water as you're using for heavy body paints. I'm a very literal-minded person, so it took me a while to realize that I needed to adjust how much water I was using - that I didn't have to do things EXACTLY like you if it wasn't working for me. Thank you and John for all the hard work you put into this channel...I've recently lost my daughter and was looking to try something new that I could develop and get better at, and eventually paint a portrait of her. Because of your excellent lessons and your kindness and encouragement, I feel like I can eventually do it. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Years.

Other things you can do is get a desk top humidifier, and use a stay wet palette. Here is a link to the one I use but any good stay wet palette is fine amzn.to/3b5cd0L 💜

Instead of "Are we there yet?", I keep hearing "Are we dry yet?" in my head.😁 And adding highlights, I always seem to think of recipes where they say "season to taste". I am enjoying learning how to mix colours and add layers. Thank you again for such detailed tutorials.

My uncle flew the Bob Hook balloon for several years before he retired. I was lucky enough to fly with one of his friends during a race he hosted at his home. It was amazing!

Hi Cinnamon And John. I thought I would share a laugh. 😂 I was up to doing this painting this morning and my dog woke me around 530am Because there was a big bad hot air balloon in her sky. 😂😂😂 So needless to say I had a 60kg Rottweiler in my bed this morning having mum cuddles to feel better. Love you guys. Can’t wait to get up 4am my time for the next live.😘

Amazing easy paint! Is it need water or Oil? Or none of them just acrylic?

It is acrylic, and you only need water if using pro paints or a really good brand of student grade. You would only need minimal water with student grade, and usually no water with craft paint.💖
