I live in Kentucky and it's almost impossible to find a properly-made Kentucky Hot Brown unless I can find the time to go all the way to Louisville. That's a shame.

That's NOT Texas toast. Texas toast is thick slices of bread (check) slathered with butter (no check) and grilled brown on both sides (half check at best).
