Thank You, brought me out of a depression. My mom taught me how to cook by getting together and have a Mother, and Son cooking party. We'd get an idea on something and one day Hot Brown! They were a hit, and in the latter days of her life she requested that a lot. I've watched you for a few years now and you've never disappointed! I think anybody who likes to cook needs to have that white american cheese.

I realize this is an older video, but it just popped up on my feed. Used to be a restaurant in Toledo, Ohio called the Town Club that did this recipe but instead of tomatoes, they used peaches. It was an awesome dish that I still remember to this day. I know Jack is no longer with us, but his spirit lives on in these timeless videos. RIP big guy.

I worked lunch shift in a fine dining restaurant when everything was toned down with an older chef that reminds me of Jack. I was front of house but I would spend all my extra time absorbing everything I could from the chef. To this day I learned the most from him. Thanks for putting these videos out to the world Jack!

Jack is truly a beautiful soul. You could sit here and be an armchair chef and pick apart every single thing he does (especially with cleanliness), but what’s the point? If you don’t like the channel, go watch another of the thousands out there. I kind of feel like I’ve walked into Jack’s kitchen when I’m watching these videos and hope to meet him one day (if the lord’s willing and the creek don’t rise, as my grandpa used to say). I hope Jack cooks into his late late years so we can all enjoy him as I know that retirement probably doesn’t even register in his brain. He’s living his best life right now and may god bless him.

Im from Springfield Illinois ( the land of Lincoln). I cook at a local bar and grill. You have helped me with your videos because I am still relatively new to this business. This dish strongly reminds me of a Springfield original recipe I have been enjoying most of my life that I believe came before this one, but u r missing a vital ingredient. A lifelong Spfd Il resident recently wrote a book about it and we have a signed copy displayed in our bar.

Looking good Jack.,, I like that combination, Bacon, turkey, cheese sauce n tomatoes .. 👍. I know bacon n I could tell that was good quality bacon 🥓
@robertkirkland17004 жыл бұрын
It is the Brown Hotel in Louisville. I grew up eating Hot Browns, I'm more of a "crispy bacon under the tomatoes" kinda person. The cheese sauce could stand to be a tiny bit thicker and as you said, made with fresh roasted Turkey. Overall, it's a general food concept more than a strict recipe. With those ingredients, it's going to be good.
