Silver Surfer 4 & Batman 227 are about my top two expensive classic covers I’d get. People really do love those two and in high condition it’s amazing how expensive they are for just the cover and no first appearance.

The Dave Stevens Documentary that came out last year introduced alot of people to his art. That has spiked his cover sales the last year

Dave Stevens covers are also homage by today's popular artists like Adam Hughes. I believe collectors are curious and want to own the "original" cover art. It doesn't hurt that there are a finite # of DS books available only since his unfortunate passing in 2008.
