I notice you said nothing about the feed trigger mechanisms. I've read some reviews where they say that the feed gets hung up a lot on certain guns. Any differences that you noticed? Also how about guns that feature an "auto shut-off" after 30 minutes of inactivity? Useful feature or PITA? Also read about some guns not having a low setting where using the wrong glue could make it just run out of the tip too easily. Any comments about that? This video was over a half hour and really should have covered a lot more useful info.

Thanks for this. I "lent" my friend my professional DUAL heated ( I think sears) glue gun. 2 years later I still have not gotten it back. I need to get another one & he can keep mine. He uses it for car parts as he is a mechanic. Which one in your opinion has the higher temp level? Which one would be comparable to the one I lent him? Thanks

You would be safer using a marine grade silicone sealant. It's strong and safe. I use Bond It HA6 from amazon. Never had any issues with it and it comes in different colours too
