I can see why the Jonsbo D40 could be popular, but that doesn't mean it's flawless, far from it. Either way, I think it's an interesting case that's worth considering for a compact ATX build!

Thanks for checking this one out! Personally I think this review is one of my best yet. It's still too long, but I'm happy with the information included, and the airflow visuals are quite satisfying :D I've been a little unsure of my videos lately. I feel I don't know what I'm doing, and whatever I am doing I'm not doing it fast enough... fingers crossed I'll find some balance and make this work out!

Got it for 70€ on sale, i really liked the look of it, but its HEAVY and some installation steps are just a pain, youre so right about that. Im using it with 2x140mm intake on bottom, 2x140mm exhaust on the top and a 120mm exhaust on the back, it actually performs really well in that configuration

I've just used a Jonsbo U5 for a build, I liked it. using negative pressure cooling (240mm radiator in the top of the case for GPU liquid cooling, only 3 fans and it's cool and quite. Easy to build in, looks nice once completed.

i would definitely choose the inverted airflow with the back as intake....it just doesn't make sense for the cpu cooler and the psu fighting for already heated air from the bottom....maybe i would turn the top fan close to the back as intake as well...not sure if it would help... nevertheless , extremely detailed review as always...👍

At that money point there are an absolute ton of full airflow case. The matx version made far more sense. Good vid man, as per.

Loved this review. Support the focus on the unique features of the case while passing over the commonplace/average elements. Personally I like a blocky metal oddball case so I'm a little more favorable to the D40 than you but overall very fair !

Jonsbo as a whole is basically "pretty aluminium hotbox", period. That's what they do. Practicality, cooling and smart design were always foreign concepts for them. Speaking of small ATX cases, Raijintek Thetis with its 27-something liters is a surprisingly decent one but not without its own quirks...

Ah, didn't know that was their thing. I haven't kept a close eye on them up to this point. Raijintek are super quirky, I'd love to see more from them nowadays.

should test airflow with 2 exhausts in the top :) run a negative pressure system, it's a vertical airflow system, Xbox has it's fan at the top of the case

Incidentally, gamemax are releasing the ATX version of their "Spark" case. Basically identical to that one you looked at.

I'm going to see if I can get them to send me the latest cases to review. Need to get this channel in a better standing to stand a chance of that happening though :D

I like how "cable management" often can be summed up to "hiding cables at the back" 😅 Thus, when the back doesn't have space, it's a con? Interesting. I'm more so interested in being able to build the smallest ATX or mATX for decent cooling (and ideally without glass panel) and it seems I should look further into this brand. It might just be what I'm looking into.

I feel like 2 bottom intake, 1 rear intake, and 2 top exhaust would work decently well to cool it

14:22 Thank you for all the info you provided, but combining volume, height, sound level, and fan speed in a single graph? Sorry, that's probably the most obnoxious graph I've ever seen. As for the case itself. The GPU temp, with two fans at the bottom, as expected looks good, but for CPU, I think it's really a missed opportunity to not test it with rear intake. Anyway, It's quite informative video, just wish you would actually test with over 310 mm GPU to see how it would actually fit under the PSU.

The case is crap. Worth about $30. They lie about the 3x HDD space too.
