Good numbers of quail in my part of southeast Kansas this year. Multiple big coveys hanging out around the house. Pheasants have made a significant comeback out in western Kansas, too. Looking forward to the upcoming season!

Awesome content sir. Love it! New Kansas resident here from southern OK where it's all whitetails, waterfowl, and hogs. Bought a GWP to get serious about KS upland. What general area of Kansas are you in? I use onX daily, but there is so much public land in KS that it is hard to narrow down to an area to get experience with. Any towns or specific area recommendations without giving away your honey holes?

Great videos. Why do you alternate between an over under and automatic ?
@ericforrester1 Жыл бұрын
Just depends on what I’m hunting…sometimes just my mood. The over under is fast and better for snap shooting.

Another great video! Great dog work, lots of birds, and i love how you narrate and bring it all together On another subject, i just ordered a GoPro Hero 11 Black and I'm not sure what size memory cards to get? Should i get several 128 GB ones, a couple 256 GB or maybe do a mix of 128, 256 and 512 gigabyte cards? How many minutes of record time do you get on, say a 128gb card recording at the cameras highest resolution. I also ordered three of the Enduro batteries, should i get more? Thanks for any suggestions you might have!
@ericforrester1 Жыл бұрын
It depends on how you want to organize and store files. For high resolution I would use 256 or higher. I recently switched to a 512 because I can fit a couple weeks worth of footage on it and I don’t have to switch cards on a long trip.

Your videos are by far the best upland hunting videos on the internet. I always enjoy them. I also appreciate your great dogs and the caring way you handle them. I live in Kansas and hunt a Wirehair (Drahthaar). I’m just curious how much of your vids are private land vs WIHA - b/c I hunt Kansas HARD and put down lots of boot leather with a good dog and I just don’t find the numbers you do. Part of it may be you have multiple dogs but am I just that bad at picking spots?? I mean I do OK but not like your vids - props to you!

In my home state of Arkansas, hunters decimated the quail population. Used to be a premier hunting location, but I've only seen a handful of quail in my life. The game and fish is doing what they can to bring them back, but it makes me so sad that I can't enjoy a good bird hunt like this without going out of state.

good vid only issue i had was when you swiveled towards yours partner and took a shot BEHIND him. I personally would've been PISSED. Even if I hunted with you before. Turning your barrel in the direction of your partner or guide is a quick way to let everyone know you're careless.
