$38 is actually rather pricey, you can get a decent all-you-can-eat hotpot or bbq hotplate for about ~$18/~$25 SGD (or ~$13/~$18 USD) depending on lunch/dinner times. For weekends add another $3-$5 on top of that. There are other options like mookata (thai bbq) where even though it's ala carte, you'll end up paying on average around $12 SGD. Food in SG is really cheap tbh.

Just a food safety note for people - if you use chopsticks to grab raw chicken, you shouldn't use those to grab anything you're about to put in your mouth. I kinda wish it'd shown them leaving the chopsticks in the boiling soup for a while, because "cooking" them would kill the bacteria and make them safe again. This is pretty common knowledge for most cooks, but in case any cooking noobies visit, I just wanted to point it out to keep y'all safe. This kit looks awesome, and I'd love to try it.

Is there such a thing as an all vegetarian hot pot too ?
@munirahbakar41234 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. You could definitely choose what ingredients you want to put inside the soup but the soup stock itself would invariably be non-vegetarian.

I’m not sure about other countries but in Vietnam there are a lot of vegan restaurants that serve hot pots :) there are different kinds as well and they’re all tasty! Vietnamese vegan food is very diverse imo
@gabriellel11184 жыл бұрын
I think there's a tomato soup base option, but I don't know if that's vegetarian. Ofc, you could just boil your own soup in the same pot, but I think you'd still have to buy the soup, so it might not be worth it

@@jenv9227 i would love to go to vietnam one day, i like vegetarian/vegan asian food alot. Im still not 100% vegetarian but im on my way and asian food is the most interesting from my perspective

Is this hot pot equipment and utensils only a one-time-use sort of thing? Or are you starting a collection of them now? lol It'd be awesome if you're able to reuse the equipment for a later time!
@susieast4504 жыл бұрын
Dang! Not a bad price for all the reusable equipment! Not bad at all! It all looks so good too!

My family and I had something similar to this. We live in Las Vegas, NV and there’s this Chinese place that lets you buy the whole set (lots of different meats, vegetables, and 2 soups) and 2 free mini hot pots.
