$38 is actually rather pricey, you can get a decent all-you-can-eat hotpot or bbq hotplate for about ~$18/~$25 SGD (or ~$13/~$18 USD) depending on lunch/dinner times. For weekends add another $3-$5 on top of that. There are other options like mookata (thai bbq) where even though it's ala carte, you'll end up paying on average around $12 SGD. Food in SG is really cheap tbh.

Just a food safety note for people - if you use chopsticks to grab raw chicken, you shouldn't use those to grab anything you're about to put in your mouth. I kinda wish it'd shown them leaving the chopsticks in the boiling soup for a while, because "cooking" them would kill the bacteria and make them safe again. This is pretty common knowledge for most cooks, but in case any cooking noobies visit, I just wanted to point it out to keep y'all safe. This kit looks awesome, and I'd love to try it.

Your videos are so relaxing and satisfying. One question, when you’re done with your meal, do you recycle the hot pot/plate and stands or do you keep them to use again? I wasn’t sure if it’s a set kit and price or if it’s more expensive the first time but cheaper after that since you now have the equipment and just need the food and fuel pack.

I'm pretty sure you could reuse the pot and stuff, just probably not recommended as it does seem pretty cheap quality
@ChirumboloFilm
@ChirumboloFilm 4 жыл бұрын
@@milk-qh5zz I wasn’t sure because comparatively I’ve never received anything like this with anything I’ve ever ordered, and if an American company was selling this stuff you’d probably be able to crumple it up with one hand, like it was single use only. These items were pretty solid with a glass lid, so they can’t be that cheap.
@milk-qh5zz

@@ChirumboloFilm yeah I agree with what you said, the lid does seem 100% reusable but just based on the sound of that pot, i feel like just scrubbing it too hard would cause a dent

@@Jessica-jj2nf You keep the pot , and if the fuel run out , you can order the fuel can from them separately (also apply for the meal set , you can order the same package w/o the pot on a slightly cheaper price.) . Or (just my guess) , the general camping burner may works too.

@@mgblueRediculase? Guess I live in a country where I expect quality for a fair value. Canned mushrooms are 79 cents, fresh mushrooms are 1.29 for double the amount of the canned. Goes for the same on asparagus. It's actually cheaper to buy fresh. It's just a little more work to add the fresh, since they need washed, peeled and cut. They sacrificed flavor for laziness.
@mgblue
@mgblue 4 жыл бұрын
@@y-mefarm4249 I guess you're American then. You wouldn't know quality if it introduced itself to you politely and offered to shake your hand, you'd call it a liar and slap it across the face. I'd argue you get more mushrooms in canned because mushrooms reduce in size when they are cooked but whatever. They sacrificed nothing. All the ingredients you get including fresh sea food? You would pay 80+ Dollars in America. The cheap meat, fish cake and hot dog are there because in the past people of Asia would only be able to afford them and would use them in hotpot.
