Very nice.. I have such a hard time with total salt bars. I love that they're MOISTURIZING but not easy to make. Nice job

What should be the percentage of sea salt per kilo of oils?
@agirlagoat1193 Жыл бұрын
It depends. Some say 50%. I do about 20%. It’s really personal preference & depends on your recipe. I would start at low % then test your soap & keep playing with % until you like it….Maybe start at 20% & go up from there 😉

Thank you for sharing your soap, it's amazing how liquid the HP soap is . The last time I made HP soap it got hard and was so hard to work with. I make CP soap, but I will try HP again!! You make it look so easy!!! 😊

Howdy! Impressive. That's it...you've done it...I'm going to venture in to the HP waters after all primarily because I don't want to wait 6 wks for it to cure! New subscriber here! Thank you!

I love your Videos, I've only done two hot process and I'm not liking it I have a large new crockpot and it doesn't seem to go though the phases that other people get, you make them look pretty Thanks :)

I have the same issue. did you ever have any success?
@michellehindson7289 жыл бұрын
Last batch went well, still a bit soft, I guess time will tell, someone had a really good idea of covering the pot with clingfilm which worked well, as you don't have to take the lid off to see what is happening.

I am new to hot process soap, I have what might seem like a dumb question to others who are used to hot process... could you pull out the amount of soap you wanted for the bottom layer and leave the rest in the pot so it stays warm? Then pull out second bit to color and and salt and so on? Or is there a certain time you reached heating it and you have to pull it out of the heat? I really love these and adore sea salt as it cured my arthritis in my hips by soaking in sea salt baths daily.

I'm a hot process gal, but I've never done HP salt bars. I have tried cold process, with not great results. I waited too long before cutting and they crumbled at the end of my cut. I use clay all the time and love how smooth it makes the texture and the colors. Do you believe there's a strict rule that requires a certain amount of salt added for it to be called a salt bar or can you add less than the normal amount and just label it as a soap bar with salt added? I just don't think it has to have 50 to 100 % salt. What's wrong with just adding 10 to 50 %???? That's my contention. It should be personal choice. Not what is dictated.

Just tried a HP salt bar using Coconut Milk at your suggestion; however, after I made it, I realized I used my regular HP soap recipe and not my CP salt bar recipe which has a higher percentage of Coconut Oil (60%). Do you suggest using a higher percentage of Coconut Oil for your bars?

Looks like a great soap ! Since this was made (to keep the solution from cooling) have you tried resting the bowls in another bowl full of hot water? Like a double boiler? If so - How did it turn out? I'm looking forward trying this.
