I made a cp soap salt bar. I used a combination of Pink salt and Regular sea salt. I did add a little of Dead Sea salt. It's such a beautiful lather and great feeling soap bar. I had no issues with weeping or lather.

Nice colors. I like the bright emerald green. You should bring it to much thicker trace, that’s super light trace that’s why the salt sunk to the bottom. Honestly though I’m not fond of salt bar. It’s super dry due to mostly coconut oil and even at 20-30% SF it’s so irritating to the skin. It’s dehydrating soap.

I made a salt bar the other day and it cracked and had a lot of oils and stuff oozing out and oils left in the mold. I didn't what happened but I think you answered it in the beginning, thank you! I used pink Himalayan salt but I'm going to check into it because it was a generic store brand so I'm suspicious of the ingredients, lucky it was only half this recipe.

I did mine yesterday and today I touched and was rough because the salt, I hope I can sell it. Then, when you say mix the clay with water, how much water? Do I subtract that water from the water already in the recipe or do I add water apart for mix the sea clay? mine came too green instead turquoise, I dont know what I did wrong 🙃 then, because the salt some part In the bottom are coming out. I was wondering if I can substitute the fragrance oil? The closest substitute we've found is babassu oil. It can be used up to 33%, just like coconut oil. If you don't have that on hand, you may need a few oils to get the same results. Palm kernel flakes or a hard butter like cocoa up to 15% can add firmness. Castor oil at 2-5% is a great option for lather. If you are substituting coconut oil or any oils, make sure you run your recipe through our lye calculator afterwards to make sure you use the correct levels of lye: www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye

This recipe makes 3 pounds of soap. We don't recommend doing this recipe in a loaf mold as the amount of salt can make it very hard to cut individual bars.

The grain of salt you used for your soaps is too big. These grains will scratch your skin !!!

I used a medium grain Himalayan salt once and it was indeed too rough - they don’t dissolve and will damage and scratch your skin. Ouch. Fine grain all the way, with a few larger pieces on top as decoration if you need to. Soleiseife soap is also brine soap, not just whole soap in the batter. They are two very different recipe techniques 😄
