I could have come there and built that thing right on the tailgate with a bucket of mineral spirits to clean it with..LOL. HEY: Seriously, don't do burnouts in low gear. Get it spinning and immediately shift to second and floor it and hit drive. Let the tires stop in high gear, off the throttle. Safeguard against stress and explosions!! Love the channel, as always!!

Done this a few times on my cousins dang ford f-250 with a 429 and c6 transmission. After three automatics he finally went with a top loader out of a mach1 mustang.

I did smaller gearboxes with the car jacked up on stands it was a pain they are not light and had to put it on me to lift it up after trying with a jack it would fall off lol eventually got a way to do it, but you got a good way with the straps 👍🏾🤙🏼😃 awesome siting in the back of the truck we did that lots but now it's illegal as people fell out and died 😞😞 same with kids on three wheeler bike's, now they are band just have 4 wheeler now 😃🤙🏼👍🏾 all good with getting the truck going?

When I was in my 20s I would easily take out a trans bench press style.....bu now I'm to old for that and my HFT trans jack is a God send makes it easy as butter worth the $269 I paid....love the truck...Mopar muscle truck!

Hell them old dodge power steering pumps are the shit. I use my pinky to turn my 1977 dodge W300 dually. No problems what so ever. Love ur truck tho. Can’t wait to see it make a hit on the track

Years ago my big block kept eating the 727 long tail so I swapped for 727 short tail and installed ford truck drive shaft with ford/ Dodge u joints it held all the power I could give it

Was that just a matter of measuring drive shafts till u found the right one and finding a u joint that was 2 sizes in one and makein letting it all work together if so that's bad ass and this truck is a basic cheep hot rod

@@kevinjohnson9372 76 to 79 ford single cab is the exact length for a Dodge truck with a 727 short tail got the ford / Dodge u joints at Napa had 50 bucks into project except trans was running high torque 440 magnum with 36 in ground hogs dogged it for 4 years no problems

I had to replace my power steering hose on my 84 W250 took me several weeks to get the right size wrench, had to keep the girl at the hardware store ordering them. Chain hoist shoot son try doing it with a block and tackle!

That is the 12" (11 3/4" actual) low stall converter. A good converter for that application is one for a 318 pickup, 11" factory high stall unit. Aprox 2400 stall, I think the one yall have is 1800, maybe 2000 behind a 440. :)

The quick way to tell is how wide the ring gear is on the torque converter, smaller diameter converter the wider the ring gear. That has the narrow ring gear.
