I have fine hair also & I have the WORST time curling my hair / keeping a curl. I’ve gotten so discouraged it’s heartbreaking lol. I have a set of hot rollers with the fabric, different sizes, & the clips. I’ve had them for years & I don’t use them as much as I’d like to! Definitely going to try this method - twisting from the base & around the hair piece! Wish me luck haha

All my working life I used hot rollers, but unlike you I had course, thick, black hair so I'd keep the rollers in for an hour. I do my makeup, set my hair, get dressed, drive to work, pull out the rollers in the parking garage, run my fingers through it, and off to work I'd go. I also like the fabric covered rollers the best, but my curls only lasted a day in the Arizona heat, so I curly my hair daily. One morning my heat rollers died, and I had to go to work with my natural rod straight hair, and everyone was shocked to learn I didn't have naturally curly hair. 😆

This is a really old set, but there are some newer ones that come with clips, and some that come separately. You just have to shop around and compare.
