Love the way Baron has really come out of his shell over the last few years!❤ Regarding the kitties, given where your at (I'm from that area) I would always bring them in at night for their safety and your sanity... Because of all the predators that are there, plus they can hunt inside at night. I'm all for indoor/outdoor animals.

I hate to be blunt but because you would feel so badly when one of them are eaten by a predator. I live in the city and I've seen it happen. The mayor down the street once had 30 cats . A couple of blocks over I was told they couldn't keep a cat around there because of coyotes. They've been seen directly across from my house. Also walking up my fence line in broad daylight .

I wash my sheets weekly and my duvet cover as needed, depending on how dirty it gets from my kitties (usually once a month. I flip it after two weeks so it looks clean longer since its white flannel ) If you always use a top sheet a little dirt on the duvet is no biggie. Your shower is gorgeous!!! Loved this video 😂

Love the shower. I built a tiled walk in shower with a hand-poured floor pan and the whole mess took me over a year to finish. SO many layers with the pan. You were smart with your choices. I've never made tallow but was inspired by your process. You have so much lovely balm for your efforts. The booties are so precious and love the natural material. We have duvets with sheets. I recently did the Norwegian system with two twin duvets of different thicknesses. Warmer for me! Having sheets protect them helps, but you do end up sleeping in contact with them some. I usually wash the duvet covers every other sheet wash. And yes, the baby is going to puke, leak out, and "all the all" on your bed. Do a protective sheet, and/or waterproof blanket (like the picnic kind) on the side that baby is snuggling with you on. It will save bed washings. So excited for your both with soon-arriving baby girl!

Hi Elsa. Love your journey. I'm in my 60's and haven't had a bathroom or running water for 10 years (eeeeek). We will have it soon. Off grid etc. Point being, I render tallow for creams etc. To deal with the mess I put a pot of soapy water on my woodstove with everything I used to make it and wash it a few times that way. So easy. Greasy things are so hard to deal with without hot running water but it's doable. Great job on the bathroom!
