I was first introduced to this wonderful tea about 40 years ago... I was going to a doctor's office with a friend and this was actually served in the waiting room. I immediately fell in love with the flavor and got the recipe. I have been making it every since.
1 9 ounce jar of tang breakfast drink
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup instant tea lemon flavor preferred (no sugar added type)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
dash of salt
Very hot water to add to cup as you make tea
Mix everything in glass jar with tight fitting lid. Shake until very well mixed.
I use 2 tsp per cup of tea in hot water.
You can also make this and simmer it. It has a wonderful aroma plus the taste is amazing.
