Hot Splicing of conveyor belt with Multiface 5 and a Waterbag Vulcanizing Press PWG-800-525-70A

This video shows the splicing of a conveyor belt EP1000/4 5+2 with the patented vulcanizing material Multiface® by using a Waterbag Vulcanizing Press of the company Hejatex GmbH.
Multiface® achieves an excellent dynamic strength like traditional hot splicing materials, due to the same chemical crosslink and the absence of solvents, but with less temperature, pressure, process time and costs. Together with the very compact vulcanizing press (approx. 255 mm total thickness), it is possible to make a hot splice with only few minutes preparation, then 30-45 minutes in the vulcanizing press, and to start the belt after less than one hour, even in area with bad accessibilty and tension path. Due to the high adhesion strength, even very short connections can be achieved. Here, for example, only 3 stages of 120 mm were carried out. So much different and faster than usually!
Like all products of the company Hejatex, Multiface® does not content any solvents, VOC and toxic ingredients or material suspected of being CMR. This ensures an unusual high level of safety for people, transport and storage. Multiface® is even food contact approved, and consequently fully oil resistant and heat resistant up to +120°C / 248°F. It can be used for almost all common types of conveyor belts, including monoply belts and steel cord belts.

I hope you understand that with the new hybrid vulcanizing material you never need to wait for the evaporation of solvents and that you reduce the processiong time to less than half. This is valid not only on thin multiply belts, but also on monoply belts and on steel cord belts.
