Hot splicing of heat resistant belt with a hydraulic vulcanizing press and the material Multiface

On this video you can see a typical step splicing of a heat resistant multiply conveyor rubber belt with the patented hybrid vulcanizing material Multiface 5, by using a hydraulic vulcanizing press. Due to the benefits of the unique vulcanizing material Multiface, a low surface pressure of only 3.5 bar/50 psi and a low curing temperature of only 80°C (173°F) was used to perform full vulcanization. After only 15 minutes active heating and 30 minutes passive cooling the conveyor belt was already ready to re-start. This solution allows an unmatched short downtime, but with all advantages of a durable hot splicing. The material consumption for 800 mm (31.5") belt width and 900 mm (35.4") splice length was approx. 600 g/m2 (0,122 lb/ft2), despite the uncovered absorbing fabric. Multiface is a hybrid vulcanizing material for the splicing and repair of conveyor belts, which help to solve many problems: no risks for people, environment, tranport and storgae (even if you forgot it in the sun), reduction of the process and required investment as you need only 2-3 bar pressure and a lower temperature as usual.
