This ASMR hot tent camping video was never meant to be a stand-alone video. When I arrived at the location, I wanted to camp. I didn't really have any ambition to film. Or, to put it another way, I didn't feel like communicating what I was doing. I really just wanted to enjoy the calming sounds of the outdoors and set up my camp. I also wanted to relax and enjoy my time with my buddy Gary. I filmed these camping scenes with the mind set that I may refer back to them later once I really did start filming a video. After going through the footage, I found that it had a very calming ASMR-like appeal, and I enjoyed watching it back. No talking, just going through the motions of setting up my camp. So I thought you might find it calming and enjoyable as well.

Love the sound of the Coleman lanterns and stoves. Sounds like memory’s. Awesome transition of the fire. Awesome video, thank you.

A very chill-out episode. Seems that the tent advantages are the great amount of space inside, and the light weight to transport it. The disadvantages are the set-up time and complexity. Still and all, even a small RV takes time to set up at camp. Your camper van is the best, most convenient way to camp. Happy Trails

Jason. The best way to light a Coleman especially when it's cold is to remove the top vent and globe and warm up the generator with a lighter, matches or torch. No more struggle, whomp! fire balls and sooted globes. It's very easy to light this way. Nice to see you using Coleman.

I grew up in Quebec Canada and experienced digging days like that myself. I never liked chains either for backcountry roads. I think this video will be very helpful to others. Hope you found a great spot to rest and enjoy your whiskey.

I made 2 webbing straps to go around the cot and air mattrass. They keep the air matrass from sliding off the cot in the middle of the night. Works great.

I might be out of action for the moment Jason, but I am still preparing for my next winter camping adventure ---- maybe next winter? In the mean time, I sit on my butt and watch yours and others videos. Nice kick back and enjoy type of video. This is a bit self-serving in a way, but KEEP THEM COMING!

Never thought of Dinty Moore and hotdogs…thought you’re gonna go with Pork and Beans 🤣. I’m just living vicariously through your videos for a few weeks before I head up into my Sierras. On the tail end of a 72 hr shift 😵‍💫. Thank you for the video and I appreciate the work that goes into these. Be safe.

Very cool transition between stove and fire pit! Luckily the old Coleman didn't flame on and melt the tent. One time using the old Coleman stove...melted part of the camp kitchen!😂

I have purchased two propane stoves recently in the past two years that have failed. Caught on fire. First was a Camp Chef portable on a trip down to Death Valley CA. Luckily didn't burn the cabin down I was staying at. No workable stove? Trip over. Second was a Kovea, It looked nice, really compact. After incident #1 I tried testing it at home, outside.. "Poof" instant fireball. Luckily I was using a 7 gallon propane tank with a long hose. I was able to shut it down at the tank. Now I have an old Eureka 2 burner.

Just had a thought. Would be safer to hold the wood being split for kindling (18:30) about half way up the side instead of at the top near the axe blade?

Hey look at that...an Expedition 2.0.....I sold mine and got a Kimbo. More like unloaded it for a huge loss...My 2019 Expedition 2.0 was the worst thing I ever bought...it had the suspension sagging at the frame mount after 10k easy miles...nothing wrong with the Timbren suspension it was the design of the mount by Off Grid that was weak.... the frame started bending at the suspension mount after 2 yrs use. :(...the hardest bumps it took were on pavement lol....hope ur friend has better luck with his.
@PrimalOutdoors

It looks like they have made some upgrades since 2019; for one, it doesn't have the worthless Timbren suspension anymore. It has a very nice, from what I have seen, trailing arm with real shocks and springs. I had the Timbren on both my CVT and my Drifter trailers, and they were absolute junk for off-road. Maybe your frame was weak, but I promise you the Timbren suspension didn't help. They are nothing, but bump stops between two arms. There is no compression or dampening control. Both my trailers bounced around behind my truck like they were on pogo sticks. I have had a chance to watch Gary's trailer from behind, and it looks like it's floating on a cloud. We will see how his trailer holds up, but it looks pretty nice to me so far. He just got back from the New Mexico BDR. I am not trying to defend the company, but I do appreciate the suspension upgrade. Jason
@BirdPhish
@BirdPhish 7 ай бұрын
Yeah they aren't the only trailer company dumping Timbren for a custom suspension. The upgraded suspension should fix the major issue they had so he should be fine....they've also done some other nice things since then like making their own doors. I got burned by the early models, poor choice on my part going with a new company. Still I love the Kimbo and so happy to be able to STAND UP inside the camper now. @@PrimalOutdoors

why is the bottom and the tent not connected, too easy for water to soak through and still dont understand a couple of things 1) why dont you use the solar powered led lamps and 2) you use the grill lighters for propane cooking but then struggle with the cigarette lighters to start wood

Depeche mode has a song called enjoy the silence 🤐 it's good to be quiet it allows collective souls to get their thoughts 💭 together it allows others to pick up a clue. But it allows stupidness to voice their view kind of like what I'm doing too. Thanks for the silent picture but no offense Charlie Chaplin did it best❤
