Hot Tent Tear Down!

One Tigris CozShack Hot Tent Tear Down! Howdy Folks! It's time to take my portable home away from home down so I can relocate it to a better location. It's been a wonderful 5 weeks of Hot Tenting and as much as I would love to leave it up and use it as my nylon cabin retreat, I know I have to tear it down. I know this is "bass ackwards" but I set it up close to dark and couldn't film it, so this tear down video will be posted first. I will film the next set up when I get it to the new location.

Thank you for taking the time to post this installment. Because THIS is the type of hands on, visual, practical application video I look for when considering purchasing a piece of gear. Or just looking for better ways to use something I already own. I really like the style and size of the Cozy Shack. And your video gave me a better inside / outside , 360 glimpse into the simplicity of its design. I also like knowing that in your experience, the Cozy Shack did well in multiple weather scenarios over an extended period of time. That’s a big deal. And again, very useful information I’ve not found elsewhere on KZbin. One thing I’ve learned about hot tent camping; there’s nothing quick about it. From the set up to wood sourcing to the tear down- take home- dry out- refold and pack away process. It all takes time and thought. But that’s as it should be. We don’t need to hurry through life. And there’s no better place to learn that truth than in God’s outdoor classroom. Thank you again for this post. Blessings to you and your family.

Very simple very easy!! I'm getting close to being sold on that tent. Since I sold my house I'm needing somewhere to live, so that looks great but I will wait. I was kind of hoping you would leave it up for at least a year to see how it lasted but we've still got summer to go so we'll see. Thanks and may God bless

very cool. Hey bud, what about the Sun? how does this fabric hold up, was any part in direct sunlight for several days all day? mainly between 10 am and 2 pm, if so how did it hold up does it feel or sound different

Seeing there were no leaves on the trees, It was exposed to the sun every time the clouds parted. At least 50% of the days it was up.

My favorite case pocket knife is the XX Trapper Knife. It is the one my Dad gave me when I started Cub Scouts in 1972. Sadly it went missing when we moved from Florida to Ohio in 1973. Thank you for your kind words and support.

Wow that's hard to believe how small it packed down 🫨😂 Hey i just realized if you had no time to set up and got caught in a bad storm somehow you could get inside that tent shell like a bivy and survive
