Very strange. I'd be afraid it's going to peg the tach as soon as I put the clutch in. But obviously it cuts throttle as soon as it detects the clutch is being pressed. Pretty smart system. How quickly does it get back into the throttle after you release the clutch?

Pretty much right away as soon as you release the clutch, but it doesn't give it too much throttle, its pretty gentle on the acceleration with the DRCC engaged

Have you ever driven one on of those Honda CRZ cars with the manual transmission and hybrid powertrain? That's another odd ball that is fascinating to me.

What happens if the guy in front of you jams on his brakes? Will the emergency braking system stall the car to stop?

Probably, but it is also your responsibility as a driver to be paying attention to the road and traffic conditions and hit the brakes yourself should the need arise. This is not a self driving system, its just meant as a driver aid
