Relax with this classic hot towel shave followed by a super soothing head, neck, & shoulder massage at the historic Waldorf Barbers in Dublin 🇮🇪
The head, neck, and shoulder massage, is the hair tonic friction service, and is perfect for stress relief after a hard days work, or a night out on the town! In the shop, this treatment is referred to as "The Hangover Buster" and for good reason!
We are so happy we had the opportunity to film in this amazing barbershop. The shop is a unique piece of Dublin history.
The Waldorf Barbershop was originally established in 1929. In 1994, the shop was acquired by Liam Finnegan who lovingly restored the shop to how it originally was in the 1940s.
Liam never really stopped working on the shop, frequently adding vintage barbershop memorabilia to the walls and displays. Even the towels for my shave were heated to perfection using a vintage towel steamer! The shop is a working museum of barbershop history.
Today, the shop is co-owed by barbers Ger Moriarty and Alina Stirbliene, who have made it their mission to preserve Liam’s vision and history of The Waldorf Barbers.

It’s a pleasure to watch a pro at work. Her attention to detail of the close shave to the touch and the extraordinary additional service of the hair and massage is amazing. Wow! This barbershop brings back memories. I watch these barber videos because they help me relax and unwind and my very first barber video was watching someone get shaved at this barbershop with that lady barber's father. The video is from 2008 and is called 'A Shave at the Waldorf Barbershop' and is still up. Thanks Harry.

You should try a 12 pak facial in Thailand and shoulder and foot massage for all afternoon, and cost a wopping $ 1.50 of coarse that was in 1994. Still amazing.......also a 4 hour massage was 8 bucks.

I used to deliver to Dublin, in my hgv truck and the first time I arrived there I took to the streets and the buzz was palpable. Different accents made you aware that some were there retracing their family history, hearing both American and Scouse accents I assume tracing both directions of travel. Amazing place! The real icons of the Waldorf were and are of course it's founders Linda Finnegan and Paddy Carr. They discovered a run down old mans barbers on it's last legs and completely revolutionized it over two decades. Peeling back the beauty board and carpet tiles to reveal the original interior including the terrazzo flooring. They hunted down vintage equipment learnt from the old time barbers and more importantly trained up a whole new generation. Paddy and Linda were pioneers of the traditional barbering revival in Dublin, Ireland and beyond. They were and always will be the true spirit of the Waldorf.
