Paul we know it's a nanotechnology suit and it can repair itself but notice that in both infinity war and endgame iron man task alot of damage in both films both suit are designed to repair themselves but it depends on the amount of damage and how severe the damage is because in both flim Tony's suit took on very severe damage to were they cant repair themselves but I understand what you mean about the scratches

Maybe the reason you can take off the chestplate was because of when thanos nearly killed Tony and his suit was reparing slowly. It could show what's under the suit before the red and gold cover it again

The thigh gaps could definitely be helped by extending the range of that “pull down” hip joint. Sculpting the hip armor to line up with the crotch when fully compressed would allow for a much more seemless look like the shoulders. the drop down hips could retain the dynamic articulation for pose ability.

Considering the increasing price of the Iron Man suits from Hot Toys can we ever expect a master switch for the lights eventually instead of 4-5 different switches for the body / repulsors / helmet, hell for more dynamic poses I'd expect light up features in the feet also

If you check in the movie he did get scratched yes it is a nano suit but it doesn't mean that the paint will stay on

I believe the scratches are meant to show how the suit isn't spending all the nanotech on the color, saving as much as possible.

Itd be awesome if they made a battle damaged version, with detachable armor. Combine that with an infinity gauntlet thanos with removable stones, and you got the makings of an awesome display piece.

Really awesome figure! Like most Iron Man figures, this one looks really great, they did a great job creating this one! It may not look very organic like it did in Infinity War, but transferring that into a figure is certainly not easy, easily a win in my opinion! Awesome review Paul!

I can’t wait til the day they sell a new hot toys figure all butchered up. $100 for the head, $200 for each of the arms, $300 for each of the legs, $400 for the main body, $100 for the standard accessories, and another $250 for an extra accessory pack. Heck, if hot toys sells paint as a separate option, people would still buy it.

in the movie he had a considerable amount of damage on the suit. Minor scratches, scuffs, dirt etc. The battle damage makes sense to me

I still prefer the stand they used from the Iron Man 3 movie, the round ones. They are a lot more sturdier for these diecast figures. That would be my only complaint, kinda scared to pose him on it because it leans forward quite a bit.

Ehhh Personally glad I canceled this for the 85. The 85 brings out that classic iron man colorway and it just appeals to me more. Hard to hide all those gaps for what's supposed to look like a skin-tight nano suit with articulation, regardless very well done.

The problem with rubber is that it fades over time. That is what was eventually dubbed as the pink panties effect for non diecast iron man figures that had red rubber crotch plates.

The problem with this figure is the suit doenst exist its just not real🤣 so hot toys did what they could with this suit but i think they did the best they could honestly , i thino the chest pieces all remove on these marks to help with the stress of the arms moving foward if that makes sense i move some of my arms on certain marks and it pushes the chest out preventing me from breaking it so it makes sense

All the Ironman models until now have a very robot-like appearance. All the toymakers could make a very accurate Ironman suits This is the first time they can’t use the same robot-like look because the use of the nano-tech suit in the movie. This is the least movie accurate suit from hottoys and I think they are lazy with this design. Because it is not movie accurate, I think this is overpriced.

I love your reviews, especially because of your presentation, but the camera work and lighting seems off. Even the platform is showing visible signs of wear. It doesn't feel as professional as before. That being said - a solid review otherwise. Also, are you alright? You sound tired.
