Headsculpt is solid! Picking up clone wars Sidious, passing on emperor; most of my collection have a neutral or serious expression, it would feel out of place for me to have palpy over there big cheesing lol. This one seems more subtle. Thanks for the vid 👊

Thats a good point regarding the Emperor tbh. Sometimes collectors complain about the neutral expressions but I prefer them tbh as they fit with more posing options! Thanks for checking out the vid 🙌🏻

I just opened mine. Looks so cool. Planning to pose him with Clone Wars Anakin & Obi-Wan - is that weird? It’s a great head sculpt. I don’t know if we’ll ever get another Palpatine pre-ROTS.

@ I got mine from a spot called toysbuyingagent. It’s an overseas seller that ships directly to you instead of waiting for places like sideshow that gets them in bulk. The downside is you often have to pay extra to get them faster, though initial prices depends on the popularity/demand of a specific piece. This palpatine is being more or less sold for retail price so that’s cool

Thank you glad it was useful 😃 I think ROTJ Palpatine is my favourite figure of the two, but I don't think he looks right with the hood down (maybe cos we don't see him with his hood down in ROTJ so that may be what's throwing me off a bit), whereas Darth Sidious looks great with hood down or hood up. This is exactly the figure I was hoping for. I have a 1/6 display of all PT Sith Lords and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious egging on his apprentices was Hasbro’s 2003 figure. 😅 Time for a massive upgrade. Only problem is hood up or down? It would be a shame to hide that impressive sculpt and the evil grin is perfect. But Sidious has to be hood up…

Love this figure! What I will say though is the satin in the hood rubs onto the hair and makes the hair sparkley. Has this happened to yours?

The only thing I don't care for is the zig-zag seam line on the back of the head. Don't know why they couldn't make his head solid and access to the rolling eyes through the bottom of the head like Obi Wan. The seam is very obvious unless you hood him up.

I totally agree with you, the eye access should be underneath the sculpt like Kenobi. The trade-off is the neck seam but overall I think that is less noticeable than the obvious hair seam! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻

Mine arrived today and I have to say "amazing". The head sculpt interpretation is spot on! He's a proper creepy old man! I'll have to give him the CCFL treatment! The hands are quite rigid as opposed to a lot of other figures though but overall...............possibly the best Sidious and I'm including the incoming version in that satement...............yes controversial! But I am a Clone Wars fanboy. 10 out 10 for the Indian accent:)

Reckon I’ll use this as a Senator Palpatine figure, hood down, then in the future put ROTS Sidious in front of him. Shan’t bother with the huge cog base though, they’re rubbish!

Great display idea! And yeah the base is excessively large, I quite like the novelty factor of the different design for this and C-3PO but they will start taking up too much space!

@@TK421Collectibles I suppose the style of base is okay for back-line figures, to give them extra height and visibility behind front-line ones. Maybe I’ll try it but don’t think there’ll be much headroom (haven’t got ROTJ Threepio yet so no experience yet).

​​⁠they do seem massive but actually they’re basically the same width as a standard base but deeper and about 50% taller. So definitely a good idea to have the cog base figures at the back 👍🏻

Darth Sidious looks incredible. I really want to get him but am still on the fence just due to the sheer volume of figures coming out. I feel like if I got this figure I’d swap out his outer robes with Emperor Palpatine’s. I’d love to see you do a video or short where you swapped their robes. I think I’d have to get him if he is compatible with the Emperor’s robes. Sidious would look more like how he did in Attack of the Clones and the goated 2003 Tarkovsky Clone Wars.

The likeness is pretty good, ive not seen the show so for me tje clothes are strange, they look like 19th century pijamas 😂 I don't understand why they put the hair seam in, you could easily make the sculpt with a hole to put the tool in to move the eyes. I think these USB light sabers are getting better, I'm definitely going to use them when i get my displsy set up. Another great video dude! 👍🏻

Mate, there's not exactly a whole lot reviewers can do differently when reviewing, apart from changing the order in which they rate each component. Other than that, TK421Collectibles has a personal greeting, a title intro, graphics, audio snippets and an outro - none of which you have. In fact, the only similarity I can see to your vids is the backdrop of figure-filled cabinets, which in TK's case, is pretty damn unavoidable considering his room is wall-to-wall detolfs.
